yes, but all these teams rank quite low in attendance compared to clubs with simillar success. (except leipzig, but it's the only team in all of eastern germany in the first division). Also prices are low. Guess a good part of the tickets are sold go to folks who just like to see a football match, or maybe even the opponents play. Without these fake clubs average attendance would be much higher

That unluck to Bayer 04 Leverkusen also happened to me with Dortmund in FIFA. I was about to win the DFB Pokal, loss to Bayern. I just needed to win the last game away against Freiburg to be Bundesliga champion. I lost by 1-0 and Bayern was champion. I was in the Champions League final against Real Madrid and lost on penaltis. After that, i raged so hard i deleted the career mode. SUCH FUN! :D

You've forgot one of the most unluckiest things that happen to Benfica. They lost one Champions League final because of a coin. The game was against Celtic Glasgow and they were tied after the 90 minutes, so the referee decided to stop the game and simply do "heads or tails".

How about Juventus from 1996 onwards? They are like Benfica, all the domestic trophies they want but no European trophy. It includes 5 CL final losses in that time, including 3 between 1997 and 2003 (consecutively in 97 and 98), and a Europa league semi final loss (to Benfica ironically) in 2014 when the final was at their home ground and they were considered favorites.
