Okay… as a person who actually studied cave paintings for decades… that is not blood. It’s Red Ochre. Very easily found. Traces of blood may be found from various cuts occurring on the hands because of working on stone that causes abrasions. 🤦‍♀️

How did you overlook hair wreaths made from the deceased ? Some of them are truly beautiful and meant a lot to the families in mourning. Sure it isn't gross like some of the others here but still were quite popular .It is said even Queen Victoria wore a hair necklace made from her late husband Prince Consort Albert during this time in history .

The jewellery enclosing a lost loved ones hair is called mourning jewellery and Queen Victoria was far from the only one of her time that had some. It's very collectable today.

art is subjective...however The 3rd Reich and Hitler also used skin and bones. There's a limit, and artists PUSH that limit.
