I don’t usually comment on KZbin, but I feel compelled to do it anyway. I like your style. It’s very easy to follow your presentations, which I find rare on KZbin or any place else. I’m never easily impressed, but I’m impressed with your channel. Thank you for your hard work.

I read a reader tip recommending that you ask your dentist for old picks. Dentists like most members of the tool community save picks that are broken on one end or have reached the end of their useful life. My dentist gave me a box full of old picks. A little bit of filing and the picks were rejuvenated for shop work. Total cost $0.00. If your dentist doesn't have a stash, ask them to save old picks for you. One other item, in the collection, were some crazy-shaped ones.

This video was extremely useful ! for someone who is always in the shop looking for better solutions this was great . I ended up buying several of the tools suggested . Thank You!

ill think about it, maybe throw it in a compilation video. honestly I think its decent but not phenomenal, there are lots of things I would change. I was looking the other day at custom made ones on Etsy so I could put my logo and go more minimal with just the pockets I want where I want them.

My best $20 tools is a cheat. The Bauer 5" orbital corded sander is $40, but on sale for $19.99 regularly. Right now, actually. I have two of them. I've had the first for almost 2 years with no issues.
@BitnerBuilt

You know Rex I picked up one of those for 20 as well! I specifically use it for spraying WD-40 on my cast-iron tools and using that too remove any rust, since it gets saturated with WD-40, I dedicated it for that use only. It’s definitely an amazing pick up for 20 bucks.

On you right angle 1/4" drive keep oil in the gears, if you don't they wear out or break. I used whats called a skew driver In car audio for years before the home centers had anything like it. I must have bought 10 sets of them over the years. Everyone always asked me where did you get that?? They get hot the gears need oil And it needs it often they dry out pretty fast if you use it a lot. They kinda need a grease zert.

Great content! Looking forward to seeing your channel grow and learning from you. One request if I may: if you start doing tool reviews (as many woodworkers on here do), please be clear with your viewers on whether you paid for the product yourself or got it for free from the company. So many content creators aren't upfront about this, and it matters.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Turk, so the cool thing with my toy review videos is my current sponsor saftysourcesupply.com is a retail store not a manufacture so all the tools that they provide me come with zero caveat’s or expectations and doesn’t impact my review at all. as a fun little secret, I’m working right now on a video where I give a Milwaukee tool, a absolute, horrible junk rating and say do not buy it 😅 and I’m a Milwaukee fan. So you only get honest Reviews out of me 👍

stupid question: obviously a scoring knife is great, but why not just use a utility knife/box cutter? apologies if that's the dumbest question ever
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt Жыл бұрын
No stupid questions man, short answer is it’s good for hardwood, a utility doesn’t mark it well, and it can do curves much better than a utility. the full answer would be a bit long here so here’s an article that articulates it www.woodworkhubby.com/marking-knife-vs-utility-knife/
