I am so tired of hearing about that though. It is an old wive's tale that holds no scientific basis. There is no long-term damage to your eyes when it comes to "sitting too close" to a TV. You can get temporary eye strain, but all you need is like 5 minutes looking elsewhere and the effect is gone. The light from a TV or computer monitor will never be as damaging as the sun.

The one game I'd like to mention with this topic is FF9. 4 discs to go through and a whole slew on content to the point it can feel overwhelming, but those that took their time with the game missed a weapon near the end that would only appear if you reached it in under 12 hours: Excalibur II. I thought this was pretty harsh in a game with a superb story and a rather open world full of stuff to do. Crazy if you ask me.

I think #10 in this list was actually a wink to Ferris Buehler's Day Off. There's an "end credits scene" where Matthew Broderick effectively mocks theater-goers for remaining in the auditorium that even includes lines saying "you've seen everything" and "go outside".

One of the D/D games, I can't remember which, had a reroll stats button which you could press until you got stats you were satisfied with. However, if you pressed it (I think) 100 times, it would say something like "OK, fine, here's all 18s". If you pressed it again, it would say "Still not happy? All 3s!". Fallout 2 also had something if you did something to a computer somewhere for long enough, but I can't remember what and where. (Vault City, perhaps?)
