I had choose not to fall downloaded as an audio file on a mp3 player. I used to listen to it and "Imagination is everything" every time I went out and trained. I still can remember all the words to that video, even after all these years. I still do parkour too :) - Thanks for the videos you are making Jimmy.

Recently found you through Swapping Shoes Podcast and love everything I've watched thus far. Thank you for your hard work! As for this video I knew Storror would get one or two but I'm very surprised they didn't get the shout out for one of the POV videos. Maybe the chase scene? Idk I'm not well versed in the history of PK but I feel like since that video came out I've seen that shooting style way more often? Any details on the matter?

Honourable mentions: You Are Your Own War - GUP I feel like this video really put the whole scene on Spain on the map permanently. Before this I don't recall many people travelling to Spain to train, but after, EVERYONE wanted to go there. Team Farang - Thailand Parkour Tour 2010 - Shaun Wood This pretty much made everyone think about travelling outside of Europe. ROOFTOP PARKOUR IN SOUTHHAMPTON - James Kingston I'd say this is the video that got people interested in rooftopping, and pushed a lot of people from the PK scene to pursue rooftopping more actively.

One of legendary parkour videos is "Dvinsk Clan - Le Parkour" (2005) by Oleg Vorslav and his friends. After that many young people in world and Russia starts to make parkour. Befor KZbin this videos was downloaded from p2p nets and internet sites. Dvinsk Clan has they site near 1 year. When KZbin is created this movie named "Russian urban ninja" and gets million view - maybe first on YT. Long time this vid was with originally soundtrack befor blocking music on YT for copyrights. And "Dvinsk Clan" was on Oleg's YT channel for few years and soon he deleted this.

One video that changed parkour in my opinion is Tempest freerunnings gym video, i think it put freerunning gyms on the map and as a kid i would dream about going to one. It also made other teams and groups looks at building a gym as a sustainable way to have income and teach parkour to the masses. Im well aware that there were parkour gyms before tempest, but i believe tempest, with their gym video, put them on the map.

What about Blitzdem 5, Constant Motion, 3run Family 1 & 2, Blanes "Escape Artist", 3run Evolution and Chase Armitage Inspiration? There are also some great videos from other country. "Shine" from Minh for playful flow movement, Shadezlats "Forest Jump" was not the first forest parkour clip but introduced many people to it. There is also this old David Belle video "On Avance Toujours" which was 2006 the first thing you could find if you typed "parkour". Also the documentations "Generation Yamakasi" and "The monkey´s back" with Stephane Vigrouxe might not be a "game changer" for the community but they are a great view about the first practioniers, their philosophy and the beginning of the sport.

Excellent list! I know these videos take some time to make but I would love to see you make another of these with 10 more videos. I'm surprised there were one or two in this video I had never seen (though I recognize the people/groups who made them). I would add Pink Clouds, and some of the others people have already mentioned. Pink Clouds is just like silly Tech gospel, really inspirational for the styles of parkour that don't focus on big jumps and huge power. DüDieDinosaurier and Parkour Literally are in the same vein. You know, I'd love to see some light shed on techy parkour in general. It almost needs different categorization with how different it can look from other parkour.

Interesting idea. I imagine people will list a lot of other big influential and popular videos in the comments but “changed” is the key word here. All these video shifted the meta of the sport in a big way.

I would have loved to see the 2008 “escape” video on this list. That video really ushered in the flow era for me down under.

Dude love the content you're making. As someone who started parkour back in 2015 this brings back nostalgia of all kinds! However I feel like this is almost the second season of videos. Yes you say the videos that changed parkour - what about the ones that shaped parkour? The ones from the early days. I can't believe there was no reference to 'Speed Air Man', Any 3Run videos, Team 101, Team Tempest, Teige Matthews, Scott Jackson or Blane's 'power is nothing without control' which pretty much started the Hell night movement. Still a solid list (and I get this is YOUR list) which is subjective.

Where's David Bell :( He dropped 3 story building in the 90s, jumped roof to roof, he did stuff that are still massive to this day! He's the one who got me into parkour 22 years ago at 10yo. The new era guys are crazy but I think the 90s deserved at least one spot on this list. Before they were called kong we use to call it a cat jump :)

Ok, first and foremost, I clicked this video so damn fast when I found it in my subscriptions. Second, a couple of things, I don't know and maybe someone could help me out with this, but wasn't the drop descent inspired by the Luc Besson film: The District or Dristrict 2? Can't remember which one but I do remember David Belle doing it in a particular scene on a council house tower block? And another thing: back in 2010, although not necessarily ground breaking but definitely inspired me and probably quite alot of people, is Parkour Literally. Parts 1,2&3. It's definitely iconic, but I think it inspired the A to B version of Parkour a bit more at the time where it was snowballing into Freerunning or tricking or whatever. It made me think philosophically about it, subtly rather than through language like Sebastian Foucan or even Danny. It spoke without words.

Perhaps Dylan's descents were inspired by something like that. Everyone that's been training has looked at a parking garage and thought fantastically how cool it would be to drop down the outside of one. Dylan Baker was the man who really did it/figured out the tech, and had so many want to actually go figure them out themselves after they saw it. He caused it to become viral within the parkour community more than anything in B13.

Take my strong hand was a great video. ❤ Same as Cambridge joy. All time favourites for showing oldschool community spirit. I started 'late' at 2015 and its just a treat to watch, pure gems. 10 videos list is hard for picks... Would include some of Belle's videos and Yamakasi stuff, as they were changing / shaping pk in the beggning (at least as an honorable mentions). 🙂 Resurgance seems like last year, time flies 😅. Anyway i like your insights, thanks for putting in all the work.
