Hey Dr. Ekberg, I have a couple of questions. You mentioned in this video that one of the issues with the liver is that it isn’t producing enough bile therefore fat stays in the liver. I watched other video of yours where you mentioned that apple cider vinegar helps with producing more bile. Is that the best way to remedy this? (Outside of good ole diet and exercise). Also, if you do take some apple cider vinegar regularly, will your body adapt and stop making as much bile than before? Thanks!

@@mercyln6646 Allow me to insert my non-professional experience. I had the worst diet for a couple of months. My food was nearly 100% processed all the time. I went cold turkey on November 1st. The first three days I had a slight head ache and sleep was often interrupted because of frequent bathroom visits. I also had a bit of trouble during morning hours to fast. I ate a little something at around 10.00h in the morning instead of waiting until noon. That only lasted for a week. From the second week on, I have no trouble whatsoever respecting my fast (min. 16/8) and I'm never hungry, which is miraculous since I've been a binge eater for a long time. Eating enough fat is crucial to avoid the cravings.

@Taiwo Omotosho Nope. Itʻs still a sugar. Look into stevia, monkfruit, erythritol, and if you donʻt have dogs, xylitol. (Xylitol is very poisonous to dogs. I have it, but I hide it from myself so I donʻt use it very often, and only with recipes that I would never share with my dog.) Dried fruit, fresh fruit, honey, maple syrup, agave, "table sugar," coconut sugar, any other kind of sugar, all has to go.

I saw a specialist about 4 yrs ago who told me I had chronic liver disease, non-alcoholic. from an old medication I had been put on to help me sleep due to having chronic insomnia. Dr told me I was going to die, my liver was 3 times its normal size, that because I was a type 2 diabetic, I wouldn't be able to get a liver transplant, and I was AB - Blood group. So I went home did juice fasts and went onto a heap of vitamins, 4 yrs later I'm still here. it plays up from time to time, but this specialist didn't even want to see me again, SMH what kind of Dr tells a patient there going to die and nothing can be done for you, then refuses to see you again.

Dr. Ekberg: please consider going into academia. You're extremely good at presenting things in an easy to understand format. Invaluable skills for a good teacher. The material you present here should be the basis for all medical school students. Currently there is no nutrition in the medical school curriculum (not talking about what they teach in nutrition as a major). All medical doctors should understand the link and relationship between our bodies and nutrition, and not just identify symptoms and treat with medication. Goal should be to avoid symptoms.

Speaking as someone who actually has been diagnosed with Hemochromatosis I have to have a venesection (blood drain every 9 months aka bloodletting), so this is really useful for me as it wasn't properly explained what this entails, but this video has given me major insight. Many thanks!

How did it come about that you got diagnosed and what is your condition?
@Kobra316773 жыл бұрын
@@missg3188 I kept feeling tired, drained, getting forgetful, so I went to the doctors who did a full blood test as I felt something wasn't right. After the blood test they found that I had excessive iron levels in my blood caused by a malfunctioning gene. They diagnosed me with Hemochromatosis and have had to have blood letting since. Think I've had this now for the past 8 years. Whether this actually is Hemochromatosis I don't know, but that is what I got diagnosed with!

Hi everyone my husband was diagnosed with hemo and then into a subgroup called polycythemia, big words,both treated by blood letting. He has never felt sick but we do know a man who was deathly sick in a hospital for months and I also have a girlfriend with it. I understand also that people with this need to be on guard for various blood cancers. The most annoying thing for us is doctor forgetting to send requisition forms to the lab.

Our own PCP would not tell us the harms of pumping us with long term meds will do to our vital organs. The healing profession has change greatly bc more people are getting sick with diseases and not being educated on real health solutions just needing to pump people with meds a slow poison.
