I have the Timex Expediton in blue and it worked great while working as a photographer at a summer camp. I was running around with it every day for around 12 hours and it held up fine.

My theory: buy a cheap $20-$30 automatic watch off eBay. When it stops working in 2-3 years take it apart and try to fix it.(have actually been able to fix the movement on one and other problems multiple times.) If I can't fix it, I replace the watch for another $20-$30. In the end I only pay about $10 per watch per year and never need to worry about ruining an expensive watch.

Great video. I recently had to think of a watch to get my 10-year old son, and needed something inexpensive and smaller in diameter. I went with a Timex, but I found that almost no one has videos/recommendations for this situation. You could do a great video on an inexpensive "first" watch for kids.

Nice video Teddy..... I have a casio world time "Stainless steel" that I put on a barton rubber strap. Great watch that I probably get the most compliments on. Also so many seiko 5's out there meet the criteria that are just fantastic . Would love to see separate videos about cheap casio digitals and cheap seiko 5's. Some astute choices there, especially the Braun. Noticed recently that there are a couple of Bauhaus-ish designs in Lorus' range which are quite attractive - it's an aesthetic I like, but maybe not enough to foot the full (Max) bill so it's gratifying to see that look filtering down to the affordable brands.

What's interesting right now is how some of these watches retain their price point but others reflect the inflation of the last year and have gone up over 100% in price, which is in line with a lot of items I purchase, some prices are up 300% just in the last 12 months.

Another home-run, Teddy! Love the Brauns especially. Wish Bulova would get back to their iconic roots. However, in analogs, you've left out what may be the biggest bargain in an everyday sports beater....the Casio MRW-200H-1BV. It comes in many variations with a great Miyota quartz movement for $15 bucks on Amazon.
