You honestly look beautiful no matter what you wear. But whenever you wear gold jewellery you immediately turn into those paintings of an ancient Roman lady wearing white draped clothes and huge gold bracelets, curly ebony hair, pouring water from a jar and holding a bunch of grapes. Instant Roman goddess!!! It just suits you so much.

I just wanted to say that I’ve been watching your channel for a couple of years now and as I grow older, (26 in a few months) like many people my style evolves. In my ongoing evolution, I was diagnosed with OCD in my early 20s, and with dealing with it, I’ve found myself becoming nervous of certain colors or the clothing that I used to wear that was far more feminine than what I prefer now. In watching your content, I find myself relaxed and soothed because I feel like you’re the first and only person I’ve come across on KZbin that understands minimalism in clothing and the balance of masculinity and femininity in a way that complements my own tastes. It means a lot to me that you express yourself here through style or through your vlogs because they’re relatable, and your color palette helps me discover my own and what brings me ease. I’m a firm believer that certain colors you vibe with really help with your personal energy. With that said, I just wanna thank you for being here because I learn a lot about myself and enjoy receiving the inspiration that I do from you as well. Thank you for sharing with us. Sending love and good vibes from Texas. 🤍

Style change: I just went through my whole closet. I'm donating and I've bought more modest clothing. No more short shorts or clothes that show losts of skin. About 2yrs ago, I dressed for the summer heat and realized I no longer wanted to be showing all this gorgeous skin. So this year, begining of February, I starting buying modest peices to add to my new wardrobe. More comfort, more stylish and more me! 😊

When we talk investing we should also talk about fabric, stitching, tailoring ect. I have a wool knit long jacket from Forever21 that I bought 6 years ago for $50. Winter where I live can last around 6 months this item has literally paid for itself and the quality is amazing and I always get compliments.

Totally agree! Like I said in the video, I’m usually referring to quality when I talk about investing and it definitely doesn’t mean that you have to pay top dollar for things. 🤍🤍 Learning about fabrics has helped me a lot in determining what pieces will last a long time.

@@Gemaryermus it's definitely a mental struggle to accept sizes are really just a number when we have been so conditioned by society that you should be a certain size...but I'm trying to get past it! Here in Brazil it's getting ridiculous, the sizing in almost every store is pathetic. I'm not fat at all - I'm not skinny like a model or most instagram influencers, but I'm also not fat or even chubby by any normal standards. I actually have a body similar to yours in "volume", I should say, but you're all muscles, toned and athletic, and I'm all soft and squishy lol, but I'd reckon we are just about the same in size. Yet, when I buy clothes in the size LARGE, they are so tight and short. It's ridiculous. You have to be what I've always considered to be a size zero or a size 2, to wear a MEDIUM piece in most stores. Seriously its bulshit. Especially here in Brazil where women are not exaclty known to be skinny, we have huge asses and thighs lol. I don't know what these demented stores are thinking, seriously. Me pongo enojada con esto!! jajaja or, as you'd say in Brazil, "eu fico puta com isso"!! xD

You look beautiful in every style, and pairing a tight-fitting top with fuller bottom, or vice versa, a fuller, oversized top with narrower or tighter bottom has been a style tip since probably the 1940's. When I was in college in 1975, I began to experiment with clothes and styles, and my most favorite outfit was a shimmery tight-fitting leotard (lowcut in front and back) and long tight sleeves with a very full maxi-length denim skirt with buttons down the front. It was just a great balance and I wore it constantly. It also had another "balance" tip of kind of fancy on top and casual on the bottom, or vice versa. It's just such a dichotomy, the viewer does a double-take. (I still have that leotard 46 years later and can and do still wear it!)

The reason I watch everything you put out is bc you are me. Lol. I have watched my style evolve to a more sophisticated version of myself by mixing feminine and masculine, fitted with oversized and a pop of edge. Putting pieces together which juxtapose each other. My issue always has always been my height. I’m 5’4 and it makes me appear like a child. I have found a remedy for that in platform shoes😅. I feel soooo much more confident in my platforms. I’m an individual who likes comfort while being stylish (hence my name), and platforms/flatforms help me achieve both. Keep up the good work. Love your style.

Found your channel by chance and am loving all your content! I hv pretty much similar bodyshape to you and had always been very self-conscious of my broad shoulders and very athletic legs. Buying pants/jeans/skirts was also something i absolutely hated becos everything would fit at the hips but never cinched well at my waist. Somewhere at the back of my brain was the belief that highwaisted bottoms would look mumsy and aging, so I kept trying to fit into mid and lowrise bottoms which really looked SO SUCKY on me. Until recently... I took a bunch of my late mother-in-law's highwaisted pants home to be donated, but ended up altering almost every single piece to fit myself, all in an effort to save stuff belonging to her to remember her by. To my surprise, the altered pants fit and flattered my waist hips and legs beautifully! One of your videos talked abt how flattering pants which ballon out at the legs wud help balance out the proportions of broad-shouldered women. It was after watching that video that I suddenly realised that it was becos of the lack of this knowledge, i was frustrated for so many years! So thank you for being such an awesome coach and for sharing precious knowledge from your own personal experiences! U hv earned yourself a very loyal follower! I am now a pro at taking in larger sized bottoms lol

Longer trousers have always been more flattering, stylish and chic than cropped trousers, or the frayed ones that end a little above ankle boots. For this reason, I've never jumped on the bandwaggon of the latter. I'm 5.8 too, and no matter what trends said, have always enjoyed wearing longer jeans/trousers - not the ones that drag on the floor and collect all the dirt, but the proper length. What matters is what looks great on our body and makes us feel good, stylish and comfortable, not what the trends 'dictate' :)
