The thing is there are so many ways that Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't "GTA with horses". Thinking about it now, another reason I didn't mention is you can't carry unlimited weapons anymore. This plays into realism where you'll have to store extra weapons and items (like animal skins) in a satchel on your horse...

You gotta understand bro there are two types of gamers in this world. Competitive & Creative. Creative gamers are those who enjoy role playing and engaging the world's we inhabit within games with imagination. We get the feel of these world's, the people, setting, surrounding and we immerse ourselves within it. They are fans of single player experience such as skyrim, fallout, the witcher etc. Where we can use our imagination to enhighten our experience to make a good game great. Like you and I. Then go around and terrorise everyone in the lobby for their own shit's and giggles. That's how they entertain themselves. They haven't the mind to role play or use their imagination which they lack. Now this podcast you just showed in your video today seem mostly of Competitive players, not creative players. Hence you see them talking shit from a perspective that only they understand. To be honest, I was really excited for Red Dead Redemption 2 but then after watching the initial gameplay trailer, I realized that it's just an open world wild west CoD ripoff. So I went to play CoD but it felt just like Pokemon Stadium. I dig up the old N64, pop in Pokemon Stadium, but only could stand playing it for a few minutes because I felt like a total Half-Life 2 ripoff. I ended up visiting Canada which everyone knows is a British ripoff of the US and I found a sealed Half-Life 2 case at a local game store in Toronto. I don't open it till I get back to the US but as I was ready to pop it in the system to my surprise HL2 was not in the CLEARLY marked Half-Life 2 case, but instead, it was FIFA 16. I honestly wasn't too upset because it pretty much felt exactly like Half-Life 2.

You know from the way it looks they might have added back in a lot of stuff you commonly hear about the GTA series now. "Can't enter all buildings" (though RDR2's setting being less populated probably making this possible) "Removed weight gain from San Andreas to GTAV". "No singleplayer DLC for GTAV". They might have thought well, we we're already working on RDR2 so can't do GTAV SP DLC but inject the capital from GTAV Online to really deliver on something special like RDR2.

Nasur Akhtar its because RDR1 (single player and online) was simular to gta4 in terms of story, not setting, and in game mechanics. Its normal people hope or fear RDR2 will be simular to GTAV in that regard. I personally think the two franchises will be different enough, the differences gameplay wise will be even more clear, but the simularities will concern micro transactions above all.

It could happen. If an another successful game like GTA V happens, and shark cards. Then I can assure you they can hire more people to work. Subsidiaries could reach more growth in employees. Well I can understand why you wouldn't release two big games at the same date ''less profit''. A one month separation could work if everyone bought 1 game a month. I don't know how the average consumer is like when buying video games. It's like one new game purchased every month for me. I would work around the statistical data of how many video games do consumers buy a month. I don't know if such data is available. If consumers were to buy two games a month and that was a huge percentage then they could do this with a release of two big games at the same date. If GTA 6 is a booming success just like its prequel then they could have enough finance for an another big team. Hopefully statistical data is met for the conditions for GTA 7, and RDR3 to be released at the same date. I hope they can make history with releasing two games at once.

there souldnt even be a reason why this game is evidently better than GTA. it should already be known, with the immersion, character development in an RPG style, the wildlife, unique weapons and mounts, deeper storyline, and also the fact we have been waiting for this for nearly 8 years. after Red Dead Redemption came out, and after beating both the DLC and main game, i wanted more. i cant count how many times ive beat that game, ive lost track. anyway, what im saying is that GTA V is so overhyped and a waste of time. all you do is heists and robberies and drive around until a 12 yr old squeaker blows you up with a flying motorcycle. this game is designed to be more thought provoking and interactive, where as GTA doesnt have that. just my opinion though. the RDR franchise will always be my favorite from R*

Yeah I'm curious as to how far the NPC interaction is going to go. They are supposed to remember stuff now but who knows what they actually will or how far back. Maybe news will travel from each town in newspaper they claim the world doesn't wait for you "NPC's have schedule" but then again they sort of said that with GTAV if I remember correctly. It could however work in this titles favor where its theme allows for more room to flesh this stuff out plus game designers like Rockstar have been refining their pipeline to make development of these complex systems faster. The RAGE-ngine is their super template for AAA game creation. I mean they even have a little second render box in GTAV that actively refines shadow edges near the player and it changes based on each view. Very dynamic.

Rdr2 is going to be exactly like Gta, but with new features and set in the wild west. GTA5 was one of the greatest games ever and I want to see that too with rdr2. You are just talking about new features and technology that is coming for the game. RDR just felt a whole lot more refined and clever with character interaction and actions having consequences as opposed to the please-all, free-for-all that is GTA. I've enjoyed the GTA games but RDR alone had more emotional weight than any GTA and was much more of an in depth single player experience, despite it's simplicity.

I honestly would say it's reverse. People have to drastically change expectations because Red Dead Redemption 2 is not as fast-paced as GTA 5 and way more serious in its storytelling. Michael, Trevor and Franklin are just some idiots who want to get rich and the storytelling is cartoonish - Red Dead has waaaay more depth. It feels like a Tarantino western at times.
