Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the ultimate universe was far weirder than anything on this list. Batman and Talia eventually turned weird but initially, it worked and made sense. The Hulk/Black Widow paring is the least weird relationship on this list, and probably shouldn't be on this list.

True. Hulk and Black Widow actually makes a little sense when you look at how they both see themselves. Bruce Banner sees himself as a monster that will inevitably destroy everything around him and Natasha sees herself as the creation of the Red Room, an assassin that’s nothing more than a killing machine. But both hope to be more than what they are. Bruce wants the Hulk to be a force for good, and Natasha wants to be more than just the assassin that she was trained to be. While it’s a little odd to see them like that at first it would make sense that they would bond over this mutual self image of seeing themselves as monsters.

No Ultimate Quicksilver/ Scarlet Witch? Also, I’d count pretty much anyone Hal Jordan dated as being problematic in some way (the dude does NOT make good choices. I’d slide Archangel and Husk in there too since the most memorable thing about their relationship was that they had kind of floaty sex in the air and also in front of the sizeable Guthrie family and because she was barely out of Gen X at that point. Also, someone should explain to Chuck Austen that wings don’t work like that, but let’s be honest, that’s not even on the top 10 of dumb things Chuck Austen did. Also worth mentioning in the Scott/ Maddie Pryor entry is that a lot of writers consider Maddie’s true “canon” love interest to be Havok. That may sound weird being that it’s his brother’s ex, but honestly, is it any more toxic than Alex and Polaris? Oh, and on the subject of Husk, that time in Wolverine and the X-Men book where her powers were wonky, drove her cray, made her hook up with Toad and become the (still crazy) lunch lady for the rival Hellfire Academy? It was honestly a sweet story for Toad, but Husk was just a bit much in the crazy dept. for my taste (tho it’s one of my favorite books as a whole).

In regard to Bruce and Natasha, she spends all her time around people with the personalities of Thor and Stark. Bruce was different, he didn't look at her like a piece of meat but was still dangerous, both as Bruce and as Hulk. She liked how he treated her, with out loosing the thrill for adventure she would normally have found from others like Bruce.

No mention of Wolverine and Squirrel Girl? I mean, it’s not ideal, but at least in GL’s case, it was eventually retconned to reveal that Arisia was actually over 200 Earth years old. In Wolverine and Squirrel Girl’s case, it was just straight-up statutory rape. Also, anybody else finding how Ewan takes almost every opportunity to take pot shots at Hal Jordan a bit…tiring? Like, we get it, he’s not your favorite character. Doesn’t change the fact that he’s still a major part of the franchise.

@@Spidervenom23 The reason they both feel like monsters is the fact Banner being the Hulk, and Black Widow because of her days being trained under Hydra and that she was a killer. Both of them can't have biological babies. Black Widow because she was sterilized; Bruce Banner because it would make him very excited. It fit to me more than any other pairing in that team would've fit. There are legitimate, convincing reasons why the two have become attracted to one another. Natasha gave plenty of these reasons.
