same here. the game was clanky and overly ambitious for the time, but the whole central park setting was one of the most unique and genuinely unsettling experiences in gaming. there where moments of pure terror and exhilaration that other big name survival games can only dream of. a misjudged and misunderstood gem IMO.

Survival horror had a perfect sweet spot when it was in it's prime. The graphics weren't good enough for hi fidelity, so we made up what we thought the enemies looked like in detail in our own minds. Plus the consoles couldn't handle 100s of enemies on screen, forcing developers to make each individual encounter a memorable and well thought out moment.

Agony didn't even have a chance among people that LIKE copious amounts of gore and nudity. The PC version of the game was pitched as being AO during the original crowdfunding campaign, but then their publisher decided to censor the game to an M rating and forbid the devs from releasing an uncut patch on another site.

I just finished watching a Matt McMuscles playthrough of The Ring: Terror’s Realm last night, and it’s ridiculous how bad that game is. It gives the impression of being conceived as a point-and-click adventure (all the progression revolves around searching for items and interacting with NPCs) that got reworked into a Resident Evil knockoff late in development. And it’s clear no effort was put into the localization, because it features some of the most unnatural and downright weirdest dialogue I’ve seen this side of a Neil Breen movie. The voice acting (what little there is anyway, there’s none in-game and only a handful of pre-rendered cutscenes) is atrocious too even by the year 2000’s relatively low standards. I’d say it would make for great Worst Games Ever fodder, but after the opening 15-20 minutes nothing particularly interesting happens until you’re well past the halfway point.

I'm honestly quite surprised about 7 days to die being on this list. I mean I do agree with all the points made in the video but I still think it can be quite enjoyable especially played with friends but I guess this is only based on ratings. Another thing that's surprising is how any of the bad Resident Evil games haven't made it in but I guess they aren't rated as low because most of the really bad spin-offs aren't technically survival horror games like Operation Raccoon City or whatever that other one was called

I own Alone in the Dark for the WII and what they said about here doesn't even touch how bad the game actually is. I beat the level where the house was on fire by just turning around and walking through the front door...let me be clear here, I didn't open the door, I just walked through it. Add to that all the driving sequences where you had the steering skills of a raging alcoholic...it one hot mess.

7 Days to die biggest issue is that on console it hasn't seen an update since December 13th 2017 where as the pc version has had many many updates. This is something to do with the publisher for console being Tellltale, after laying off most staff and liquidating assets Fun Pimps severed ties with them. This means unfortunately Fun Pimps aren't able to update the game and all console players own the license to the specific version put out by Telltale. Fun pimps have since reacquired the rights at the end of 2019 but if 7 days gets another console port it will be an entirely separate release meaning players will have to purchase it again.

Tbf 7DTD would probably be in a much better place had Telltale not told Fun Pimps to screw off when they wanted the rights to THEIR game back when TT went under. They haven't been able to do a console update in years because of it.

I actually liked '7 Days to Die' on the console, despite physical resistance and height damage being nonexistent to zombies, and missing some features from the computer version. Thing is, they one day did an update that both, added an ugly fog to everything, and made the enemies so aggressive and difficult to deal with, it made the game unenjoyable and virtually unplayable

I honestly loved Amy & The Grudge. I finished them both around the time they came out. I'm highly patient though. The Grunge is one of the only games that's scared me. I liked the vibes in Amy, and love some of the soundtrack.

7 daya to die looks incredible on PC with the many updates, but on console, not so much as all to say the least, if the game isnt updated and you tried to play co-op, the game would crash alot and freeze, doing certain actions like placing a torch or a chest would chest the building your in would collapse and fall apart, it was a decently ok game but its a pretty bad one that fails to make it truly scaring.

I had a Wii and loved the shovelware and tat games that "evolved" from the PS2 days but I regret to say I never had seven minutes in heaven with Escape From Bug Island. I've watched Brutalmoose's video on it...multiple times. I genuinely don't even know how many. And I'm absolutely endeared to it. Did I get angry when the twist is revealed? God yes. Does the game look needlessly frustrating? Yes. What's the point of the game? Yes. And I need it bad. I need it all night. And mumma loves her baby.

Also of note is Agony's level design. On top of being overly edgy, apparently misogynistic, and just boring, I hate it when games have that "where the fuck do I go?" kind of progression, as it really breaks the pacing of the game. I'm pretty sure the developers knew how disorienting their design is because it only gives you so many Destiny Lines, waypoints that show you where you need to go. And even then, the Destiny Lines might bring you to a dead end. If you wanna play Agony, make sure you turn unlimited Destiny Lines ON. Even though they don't help all the time, it's still something you'll want to use as much as you can.

7 Days to Die is not terrible on consoles, but Triple Jump was right to include it on this list. It is not the real experience the PC version offers, and has been abandoned with regards to updates. It was the correct choice.

7 Days to Die wasn't even a full game at first. If I remember correctly it started life on the PC as an Arma III mod, then blew up from there. However it's not a big surprise that it failed hard on consoles. Arma III runs like crap on a console because the engine is too heavy duty, and how are you going to play that game with a controller? With the full mouse-and-keyboard it's fine.

I thought some of the wii motion controls were good but that driving. Oof. It worked if you "got gud" but it didn't need to be that wacky and the sections weren't good as it was. And having to blink manually, geeze. A novel mechanic but not fun either.

Ah Amy. What a load. Early in the game you have to sneak past a guard to trigger a cut scene and further the game. I tried every way imaginable and could never trigger the cut scene. Worst five bucks I ever spent.

7 Days to Die in console was bad due to the lack of support since the publisher went bankcrupt years ago. I don't think it will be ever touched again until the game actually becomes 1.0 which may take another 2 years or so sadly.
