It should be added that Jericho very audibly yelled "he's hurt!" when shoving Charles Robinson.

The Enzo one was a little scary. Just very suddenly a guy takes a bit of a nasty spill out of the ring and stops moving. I can imagine everyone in the match was worried. Aside from Enzo at the time since he was unconscious.

@Daniel Bennett I thought that myself. My friend told me when it happen and was mad at Enzo for being sloppy. I took a look at the clip and immediately realized it was Simon to blame. Being that close to the ropes Enzo had no time to react. There was no way he could drop low enough in time.

Enzo's injury was one of the nastiest i've seen in ages. Oof! *EDIT* I'm a 49 years old sports fan and i've seen my share of sports injuries. Gilles Villeneuve fatal accident, Moise Alou leg snap between bases, Zdeno Chara's check on Max Pacioretty (i was at the Bell Center and for the first 60 seconds, everybody thought he was dead), Ayrton Senna crash and so on. What makes Enzo's stand out is the way his upper body springs from the ropes to hit the mat and how he fell to the floor like a broken puppet. He got lucky not to have his neck snap like a twig.

To be fair to HHH, necks and quads are a different league. While both injuries can be painful, I know which one I would rather have.

I was there at the Hershey, PA show. The feeling was surreal when the injury happened. The crowd applauded him as he was helped out of the arena. I was so convinced he was legit injured that I was completely taken off guard when it turned out to be a ruse that following night on Raw. It's one of the many things that makes me appreciate wrestling so much. Clever stuff indeed.

According to Gotch, Enzo actually could do that spot without issue 90% of the time, but during the match itself something went wrong. Imo, either Enzo miscalculated or they were out of position, there's no way an experienced guy like Gotch could fuck up an irish whip lile that.

Now that I think about I think the reason Sin Cara botched alot was because in Mexico they work to the right (right side of the body) where as in America we work to the left (left side of the body) if that makes any sense.
@Ahlumile-jv5vd
@Ahlumile-jv5vd 2 жыл бұрын
Could you please further elaborate on that? Are you referring to the position of the hard camera?
@Krintos_
@Krintos_ 2 жыл бұрын
@@Ahlumile-jv5vd for sure, so I'll began by saying I accidentally mixed them up we work left in America and they work right in Mexico. When I say we work left I mean we direct all of our grappling moves to the left side of the body i.e left arm and left leg whereas in Mexico they do grappling moves to the right arm and the right leg so trying to do a move to someone's left arm using the right arm technique would make it look very clunky and unprofessional and vice versa. Also hard cam position doesn't matter it just changes which side of the ring you have to face while doing moves. I hope that helps explain everything.

I agree that the Enzo incident was no fault of his own, but Gotch did already have a reputation as an unsafe worker, which is why he got the blame for it. I remember an old insider reporting that by the time Gotch was released, he had a reputation of being somewhat careless and was apparently difficult to work with, so WWE were probably very close to releasing him already. It was a shame as I actually quite liked Gotch, and thought the Vaudevillians were a great act.

Some say that if you listen closely, you could hear the faint cries of the IWC bitching and moaning about cards being subject to change, when these instances occur. Much like how you don't even have to listen closely to hear the assholes bitching and moaning about the card being subject to change when a wrestler gets injured before a match.

The year is 2084, The Undertaker is 125 years old, his old human body slowly replaced piecemeal over the past decades with replacement metal joints and biomechantronic organs. More remains of the Ship of Theseus than the original Undertaker at this point. He didn't want to admit it, but he knew his time had come. His iron lungs were failing. This was his third lab grown heart this year. The dialysis unit he used was discontinued years ago and the backup SD card that replaced his brain was corrupted. He sighs. He had a good run. He got to bury someone in concrete. And wrestle Roman Reign's grandson before he became President. But retiring after 100 years in the sport is a good round number, he thought. He leans over to turn off his bedside lamp when suddenly, he hears the distant cry of the last remaining sports entertainment fan: "I'd like to see Taker wrestle just one more time". He gets up, pneumatic knees creaking, to go talk to robo-Vince.
