What's better is that he plays the bong cloud and *has fun* (kinda the idea when you're playing a game...) It represents far greater success than maximising your chances of winning and being anti-social to concentrate on boosting your own ego.

@@george474747 I have to disagree here. What do you gain by giving Hikaru additional advantage with the BongCloud ? He's gonna win no matter what, so it's not really about the ego. In the opponent shoes I'd just play a standard opening, so that maybe I can learn something out of Hikaru's response, even though of course the final outcome of the game will never be uncertain.

@@3sm1rost84 seems Golani wanted a more equal position. His early game bongcloud transposition kept the game even after the knights moved. He just made mistakes after that point. He played like a true aspiring chess genius. This kids going places

The Coffee Chess members were sort of distracting Solani with their vocal support. Very cool of Hikaru to let Solani had the first five moves when he moved the Knight back and forth. It's tuff to focus when one knows he/she is playing against one of the rock stars of chess.

I don't like how crowd is distracting Golani. They don't affect on GM, he is pro, but "our" guys are totally out rhythm. Same happened to Boston Mike, I really didn't enjoy watching it. Golani can play better, Mike too. Let them just play, your comments save for yourself.

I disagree, it makes the environment more fun and relaxed, also more enjoyable to watch and allows people who are less enthusiastic about chess to get into it more easily.
