The most important thing above all else is growing together. Having a number of things you enjoy just doing as a couple is a must. Start a new hobby, do it together! People have some of their own interests and sets of friends, but if you find yourself doing less and less together, you're growing apart. Maybe you don't hate each other, but you're becoming roommates and the romance and Love dwindles. Then it just takes a few bad events to call it quits. We agreed to end a 20+ year relationship...just became different people with different goals. No real hate, just moving on. Some say it's tragic b/c we were the rock couple. But it would have been more tragic to stay together and be constantly fighting. Life is too short to be unhappy all the time. Not living my best life, but at least living my life :-)
