So cool that you were at the Bradenton Riverwalk! I’ve been there with my dad and grandparents a few times and it’s always been a really fun place to go. :) I work at a thrift store, and I’ve seen a lot of parents and grandparents buy clothing, toys, and baby accessories there bc kids grow so fast and this way the parents don’t spend tons of money buying things that their kids only use for a little while. Especially when they get to be a little older and will likely get clothes muddy, covered with grass stains, etc. If there is a Savers near you, they will give you a donor coupon when you bring back the things you are no longer using, they also have a points reward program that saves more money over time. Maybe with the difference in money spent on used vs. new, you can start a college savings? Unfortunately, the only things you can’t buy are those big ticket items that you were talking about, because the thrift stores can’t keep up with new safety laws or recalls of those products. Bottom line though, thrift stores are a great place to buy stuff for the kiddos.

My husband and I also had our first baby, a boy the same year we celebrated our 10 year dating anniversary 🥰 My advice would be go with the flow as you can plan plan plan and then the baby comes along and has other ideas! Xx

The one advise I’d give after having two already fully grown kids: you don’t need a crib for at least half of the first year. Don’t even bother, they have great playpen/co-sleeper solutions nowadays that take waaaay less space, unfold in three seconds flat and do a fantastic job! Otherwise, just be happy and enjoy! ❤️Sleep more - that’ll be it for the next 18 years 😂😂

Don't stress too much over the "stuff." Newborns only really need a carseat, diapers, wipes, a tiny little bassinet or basket to sleep in, and clothes. I know you're going to want to buy really adorable clothes for him but he will poop up his back every 2 hours and ruin every outfit haha so don't spend too much $$. You guys will be great I have no doubt♥️ Lots of love and support
