Yes it is, these single mothers really need to watch who they date. Shame on her mother. There must of been signs, and she even felt uncomfortable in her own house witb him there. The mother then parties for the new year, come on are you serious. I hope she doesn't have any more kids. That step father is a Pyscopath, you can clearly see that. I hope they get him in jail

This was me. When I finally told my grandma about my step dad she dropped everything in the dead of night and came to get me. I really thought she was going to kill him that night and I’m sure if they had tried not to let me leave with her she would have. This is a small, non-violent, God-fearing woman who was battling cancer. This was over 15 years ago by now and she is still here and still would do this for any of her grandchildren or great grandchildren.

I became single when I was 8 months pregnant with my youngest son. My oldest son was 4 years old. He is Autistic and completely non-verbal. I stayed single until my YOUNGEST SON was 15 years old. The truth is, even if you Think you know the person you're dating, you have no idea what's going on in their head. For me, it was not worth taking that chance, especially with a son who can't even tell me if something happens. NO PARTNER is worth it, in my opinion. Kids didn't ask to be here, it's our job to protect them- with our lives of necessary!!!

I am beyond fed up of mothers who choose a man over their own children, it happens way too much. i have chosen not to have children and am accused of being selfish for this reason,but I feel I see more parents who are truly the selfish ones, like for example putting their love lives before their children. NO person should come before your own flesh and blood. I'm sorry but Shawn looked beyond guilty to me in these interviews...
@informanti
@informanti 2 жыл бұрын
It's ironic because I find a decision like that to be very selfless, not selfish. It's a massive undertaking to raise a child and too many people end up having them when they're unable to raise them properly, and that's selfish. You're not the only person that is effected by the decision to have a child.. that child is also effected by it. Not being able, or even having the desire, to raise a child, but doing so anyway, effects THEM a lot more than most people realize, especially _before_ they have them.

I remember when I was about 8, my sister and I had to stay with my grandmother for some time and my uncle moved in soon after. As young as I was, I felt very uncomfortable around him, especially when it came to how he acted around my sister. I told my mom and she came to get us the same day and we never went back. I found out years later that the same uncle had r*ped my aunt years ago. I’m grateful that my mom didn’t question me and just saved us from the situation.

I'm not saying don't date with caution, I'm not saying rush into anything but I'm certainly not going to say you should stay single just incase. Life is risk and if my daughter didn't have the step parent she has she would of missed out on a father figure in her life and feeling love from two stable parents, To learn how your significant other should treat you, how a loving parent should etc. It's almost like saying even women without kids shouldn't date becasue men are 100% capable of harming you and a woman is 100% capable of being harmed. DOES THAT MEAN ALL MEN HARM WOMEN? of course not!

Some people truly have NO business having kids. I can’t imagine putting my kids in any situation where they’d be exposed to drugs, vulnerable to harm, or feel unsafe in their own home-re; Hailey told her grandma she felt scared seeing his shadow under her door crack at night. I’d have more respect for a parent suffering from addiction if they gave up their kids until they get their crap together! In this case its beyond mom & boyfriend being addicts. Based on the computer findings, one or likely both are clearly depraved people with vile, dangerous & aberrant obsessions. Sad any child has to live this way, or worse, die as a result of their parents neglect & selfishness. My heart hurts for Haileys dad & all her loved ones.

Sorry guys but her mom is awful! She knew he did it, lying to herself! The dad is right they both were involved. If I came home and ' my boyfriend' told me that my daughter decided to sleep over any damn where I would want to talk to her asap! That poor child did everything to be a good well rounded person. Do you seriously think those cops in that town, who knew Shawn and have dealt with him and Billie for years, didn't immediately know he was at least involved? But what they know or think they know doesn't mean jack. It's what they can prove, which is why sometimes bringing charges takes so long. I grew up in a town about an hour away from where Haley lived. I remember when this happened and seeing Haley all over the news and hearing everyone talk about her disappearance. At the time of her disappearance I was very close to the same age as Haley so her disappearance hit me hard as a little kid to know someone so close to my age, someone I could have been friends with or know or maybe played against in sports was just gone like that. It shook me as a kid. I truly believe that Haley’s disappearance is what started my interest in true crime and being aware of things like this. I hope maybe one day we will know the whole story of what happened. It breaks my heart but I’m glad there is finally some justice in this case.

I just want to say I really appreciate your no bullshit, straightforward approach to the cases. I'm getting so tired of annoying true crime KZbinrs and their vapid followers who never even discuss the content in the comments section. This is a fantastic channel. Please keep going 🙌

WTF….. how can you even think of hosting a party when your daughter is missing?, That is beyond anyone’s understanding and clearly shows she has no care or love for her own child.💛💛💛

Straight away I thought it was the mums boyfriend. Look at how he always gets her around her waist in photos. One photo shows clearly how he leaves Hailey out. It’s like “ your mum is mine! I don’t want you to be here”. He keeps his dark sunglasses on when being interviewed to hide his eyes as eyes tell a lot. I always look at body language.

And the boyfriend was almost smiling thru the part where is was talking about the Nancy grace appearance. He looked like he was about to start laughing. Like he knows something that they don't and is getting a kick out of it!

This story needs to be a wake up call for us women & men be careful who you bring around your kids. Some people only want to pretend to be in a relationship with you in order to get closer to hurt your children.

Your voice is phenomenal. I would buy an audio book that you read in a second. I think I am addicted to hearing your voice ... if that can be. Again, well written and awesome narration. This is how it should be done.

In that first interview Adkins was wearing sunglasses and he also confirmed a question by his own question,to buy time to think about his answer,i knew he did it.I have watched so much criminal psychology on Internet that as soon as he did those 2 things,i knew.
