I can't even watch this.... I worked for a printing company and I remember the family of Christian coming in every night to print missing posters. My heart went out to them.. left feeling helpless just wishing you could do something... so all I could do was cover the cost of their prints and try to make them look as nice as possible. Small gesture... but had to at least try. I remember seeing the teams of people searching for Christian... and it just broke my heart every time. Especially when you know they are searching for his body. I felt this way as a total stranger.. I couldn't imagine how his parents must have felt. Heartbreaking to think your baby goes off to college to better themselves.. and this is how it all ends up. FOR NO REASON. I pray his family found peace.

I've seen this comment on other true crime shows where the murderer buys ridiculous combinations of items that just scream 'I am up to no good'. Even if it were after the fact, having that information would help the police. Like majority of places have CCTV so if cashiers were just trained to make a note of the date and time when the suspicious purchase happened, and the clip could be passed to police easily, it wouldn't be that much extra work...

We need to start teaching teens that obsessive behaviour is not okay, and provide them with support and resources to tackle obsessive behaviour. At first I was going to be mad at Erica's parents for not dealing with Pedro's behaviour while they were in high school, but teens don't always share private things, but if this sort of thing was discussed in school and kids had a counselor they could go to, it could've been dealt with years ago. We romanticise the idea of the obsessed lover, and in particular share this myth of girls playing hard to get and that boys just need to be tenacious and not give up, and that needs to stop. Such a sad case, Christian sounded like he was an amazing young man.

@@araghne it seems that you have misunderstood my comment. No one is blaming Erica, but (most likely) herself. She might consider herself as the catalyst of the event hence the self blame. It's a common psychological response on her part. Something like "if only I hadn't gotten together with Christian, he wouldn't be targeted and would still be alive by now" kind of thinking which we know is wrong but it's not an easy notion to let go when you' re directly involved. A lot of therapy is needed. Of course we know that the murderer is to blame as he did the act fully knowing.

I’ve seen some disgusting and ignorant comments on this video. My heart breaks for Erica. She wasn’t happy with Pedro who as we all know is a total psycho. She did the right thing and ultimately ended the relationship. She found love elsewhere. I mean.. I think most people have done that? And somehow.. it’s her fault Christian was killed? I worked at a hotel desk back in college & a guy with 2 chicks checked in. About 2hrs later one of the chicks comes down asking for new sheets, & towels. Said someone cut their finger & bled all over. I gave them to her & tried to mind my own buisness. 30mins go by & she comes back down & asks me if i have a TARP! Im like no ma'am im sorry, while i watched her walk away im dialing 911. Turned out the guy was a prison escapee on triple murder out of Jersey & the other girl had made a phone call which they thought she had ratted him lit so they beat her half to death & she was unconscious in the bathtub when police arrived. The guy ran & led police on a chase through the city before wrecking out & shooting killing himself before police could take him into custody. Criminals are stupid & sometimes shts just too obvious to overlook, you gotta say something if you suspect something. Id never forgive myself if i hadnt called knowing the outcome. I bet that cashier feels it.

LESSONS I LEARNED FROM MY RELATIONSHIPS, FRIENDSHIPS & BREAK UP. 1) Never ever date your friend's or best friend's BF or GF, never ever. It will deeply hurt the other person especially when they're processing. It'll be too hard when it's recent. 2) Concentrate in learning & brushing off your skills. It will be hard but it will take your mind off from hurting, pain & anger. Temporary but that'll be enough for a day. 3) Pray to God & Eat good food. They will ease up the pain a bit. 4) Go out, talk to your friends & family, watch a good comedy movie, do house hold chores. 5) PLAY. Be it video games, football, badminton, board games, etc. But do it. Don't worry, you will eventually find someone. I broke up when I was 16 years old & after 6 years of it, I found a loving partner & I'm still dating him & it's been 5 years.
