@@gamigun280 Well for me, i don't really care for protagonists who are super outgoing and while Luffy is a great protagonist overall, and even though Luffy isn't always like that 24/7, for some reason i can't bring myself to like Luffy more than Ichigo. For me Ichigo feels more grounded to reality when it comes to personality and the shit he had to deal with throughout the series grabbed my attention more. I will say what also helps Ichigo case is that i read bleach as it released while for One Piece that wasn't the case, and it had a bad start with me because of 4Kids sadly. As for Naruto, I feel like his character took a hit once the otsutsuki and the reincarnation stuff came into play.

This isn't really a debate, most die hard naruto and one piece fans agree. You're entitled to your opinion though. Endings go to bleach without question and ost is in favour of bleach but not nearly as one sided as endings cause naruto and one piece have amazing ost as well. Openings also isn't as one sided as endings but bleach just takes it for consistency in peak openings whereas naruto has a few mid ones and one piece has decent consistency but not nearly as many peak openings

Ill say this most people don't understand the nature of Bleach's story, 90% of it is misunderstood because of the 2004 anime being adapted badly, The best way to enjoy BLEACH is to read the manga till chapter 479 then watching the TYBW anime. Ichigo is better then naruto and on the same level as luffy if not abit better in characetr wrtiting and development. Now let us look at why Ichigo is amazingly written, his self-actualization journey, excellent execution of his key themes, religious symbolism, a wide range of dynamics, and parallels with many characters. I'll start with his self-actualization. Throughout the story, Ichigo learns the significance of death and why we should not deny its reality. He got this far because his fear of death drove him to adapt and flourish; death was assisting him the entire time (Zangetsu). When Ichigo finally recognises Zangetsu as a part of himself, he embraces death as an unavoidable element of life. He chooses to fight for himself now, rather than out of a false sense of duty for what happened to him as a youngster; he has finally found closure for what occurred to him as a child. His first choice following this realisation is to beat Yhwach, who is attempting to completely eradicate this concept. In Zangetsu poem, he states We are all born dead. The end exists before anything begins. If living is a constant quest for awareness, the awareness we gain at the end is the real goal. In other words, death is the discovery and complete understanding of the end. We are not permitted to seek awareness. Those that cannot transcend death will not find awareness in anything. He talks about the realisation that comes with the unavoidable death that awaits us. This fits in perfectly with his influence on Ichigo's decision to recognise him as himself. With his acceptance of White, Ichigo accepts the philosophy of the awareness that comes with discovering the end of our road, and ultimately transcending death by freely accepting it. Itt's not easy to just accept this fear that everyone has, but Ichigo fulfilled this by constantly fighting despair and silly difficulties, realising why he went so far for everything, his entire journey perfectly described by Aizen at the end of the story. Courage is what brought him this far; his bravery in facing fear over and over again is what taught him its significance and taught him to accept it for what it is. Self-actualization is achieved by living truthfully as his true self without denying any of it.Isshin was living the route Ichigo would eventually take. Isshin has no remorse over his wife's death, and he is not concerned about what will happen in the future because it will happen anyhow. He lived his life by choosing his own choices, a soul reaper married a Quincy, their cultural adversary. He advises Ichigo to live a long and happy life and to die laughing, indicating that you should accept whatever comes your way. Blade is me sequence : Ichigo through the first major arcs held many kinds of fear like not being able to save his friends or fear of not being strong enough as when all of his powers are gone he feels useless because he cant protect his friends or family anymore. He was afraid of his hollow and refused to believe he had such an unmoral beast inside of him. This all causes an inner conflict with him not being able to accept who he truly is. Hollow Ichigo who was denied by Ichigo told him that whenever he was afraid or despaired then he would take over since Ichigo doesn't understand his sword at all it leads to hollow Ichigo taking over multiple times and fighting with an unmoral code something which Ichigo would never do. n the arrancar arc, Ichigo deals with his self-neglect. Zangetsu remarks that ichigo wishes to save everyone else rather than himself, whereas Zangetsu wishes to save ichigo. Zangetsu engages Ichigo in combat and combines with Ichigo's inner monster. Ichigo's problem was that he was afraid of his demon appearing to harm his companions, as seen by his inability to confront Aizen after stabbing Uryu in demon form. Ichigo also neglects himself far too much in order to deal with his own issues. Then he decides to let Zangetsu stab him, demonstrating his willingness to cope with his own difficulties even if it means putting his companions in peril. He develops past his self neglect in this scene. Ichigo doesn't want to be a soul reaper when the series starts, but he keeps fighting hollows to save people. He doesn't want the job, but when someone needs to be saved, he uses the power that comes with it. After that, he accepts his position as the substitute soul reaper because he is reminded of his mother and his purpose, which is to save others. He then, at that point, begins to foster a desire and want towards fight. He learns to fight with honor when he fights Ikkaku. He fights Kenpachi, who shows him how much fun and excitement comes from fighting. Byakuya trains him to battle for his convictions and belief systems, Grimmjow shows him not to underrate his rival and gives him the longing to need to overwhelm and rule his adversaries in fight, to attest his predominance and demonstrate his solidarity. He gets angry with Ulquiorra because he won the fight while he was unconscious and offers to cut off his own limbs so they can fight again. Ichigo is now a fighter who craves blood. Morality was eroded as a consequence of this. In the fullbring circular segment he loses his profound quality when he poses the inquiry "Assuming I kill Tsukishima will this be all finished?". Ichigo needed to regain his morals in the Fullbring arc because he was willing to kill Tsukishima in cold blood. Therefore, how does this distinguish him from a villain? While battling Ginjo somebody who he considered a companion, he is reminded that not all things are highly contrasting and there's dependably another point of view. Assuming that he would not see that point of view and kill in any case that makes him similarly as terrible as the individual he's killing. This is why he made the decision to defeat Ginjo despite the fact that Tsukishima was not the real cause of the conflict. Anyway he kept down in the battle showing a reluctance to kill and when Ginjo wound up biting the dust, he ensured Ginjo got a legitimate burial. Theory of mind, Kantianism and Moral Judgement : Kantianism is the belief that the means of an action never justify the act if the act is wrong. The only truely good acts are acts with good acts with good means. Theory of mind is understanding others' thought process, ideals, ideologies, beliefs and emotions. Ichigos new sense of moral judgement after the fullbring arc is that he will try to understand the means behind the act but stick to his kantian philosophies that the means never justifies the act. Which explains why he fought Ginjo even after understanding the purpose of his actions. He also has a new sense of moral judgement. Killing someone like Yhwach was okay to him because his actions were beyond the justification of any means and Ywhach didn't try to explain his reasoning, while Ichigo also didn't wanna kill Ginjo because Ginjo told Ichigo about the means to his more justifiable acts than Ywhach and Ichigo even showed sympathy to Ginjo making sure he got a proper burial. The pacing of bleach anime is contentious because of the 2004 anime and TYBW adaptation, Because TYBW adaptation is like literally one of the best anime adaptations of the manga which captures the essence of Tite Kubo's Storytelling style that in one word can be summed up as "Show" don't tell

Meanwhile Ichigo on the other hand is all about coming to accept parts of himself that he didn't know or was unconsciously rejecting.

Main character category should have gone to bleach obviously, but antagonist and openings are clearly for Naruto. Especially antagonists. While I don’t want to deny bleach antagonists like Aizen or Yhwach’s anything of their due merit, they are certainly the “coolest” villains I saw, they don’t hit as hard as Naruto villains with their depth in character, realistic ideologies and tragic backstories. Aizen or Yhwach’s were characters for me which were given the role as villains which they played to perfection but Pain, Obito, Sasuke etc… were characters who had a clear reason for becoming what they are and for the way they acted, they weren’t just villains you love for being villains but characters you like because of they ideologies and perception of the world. Openings is kind of subjective though, i just like Naruto openings better but think bleach has the better endings.

Only one I disagree with here is the fights. I think OP still takes the cake. Naruto has too many flashbacks in fights and they're not all great. I think OP still had better fights because you Luffy vs Lucci, Luffy vs Kaido, Zoro vs King, Zoro vs Mr 1, Sanji vs Queen, Law and Kid vs Big Mom, etc. OP is a lot more creative in their fights which makes it more interesting. Bleach can make a point for great fights as well but Bleach just has a bunch of random power ups like DBZ.

I feel like nostalgia definitely played a big part in most of Naruto’s points because a lot of anime fans in the west grew up watching Naruto and didn’t really experience bleach or one piece until later. Feels like the Naruto fans rode the highs on the points they gave the series because of that nostalgia. Not saying Naruto doesn’t deserve some of the points but I felt like bleach or one piece definitely could have gotten another point or two. ⁠@@luis15317 Naruto outsells OP in practically every country on the planet outside of Japan and actually dwarfs it in sales per volume everywhere outside of Japan as well. Plus the anime is infinitely more popular because of the multiple successful dubs it has. Not to mention just with merch and cultural influence, Naruto gaps. OP only has total manga sales over Naruto and that too cause it has 30+ more volumes and is still running in the same era as the manga industry post Demon Slayer which globally popularized manga to a new level. For every 1 person that buys a volume, there’s thousands of people that don’t and would rather watch an anime. Naruto’s anime is that but way way way more popular than OP’s so imagine the actual difference in their relevance. OP fans will only gas their manga sales as if it’s indicative of popularity when compared to Naruto but go hush mode when a DB comparison pops up because then they realize just how silly using manga as the be all end all measurement of popularity is.
