Great list. I disagree with Hole belonging in there but would add the Charlie Daniels Band and the Alan Parsons Project. Also, why is George Michaels in there but not Bryan Adams, Night Ranger and Loverboy ? There should also be posthumous inductions for Jim Croce, Dan Fogelberg,, Harry Chapin and Gordon Lightfoot. The whole problem is the institution itself, a real Rock Hall of Fame should be located in some shitty dive bar and all that was needed to be welcome was some rocking guitar licks! I love Country and Rap, but it’s not Rock. I’ve been to the Country Music Hall of Fame and they stick to Country. The only ones outside Country are artists like Elvis, The Everly Brothers, or Jerry Lee who truly were artists that blended different genres. Keep on rocking!

One reason that I like Slade so much is because they were such a big influence on my favorite group, KISS, when KISS was one of the biggest bands in the world in the 70s, they often gave credit to Slade for inspiring them. Slade is also just very good on their own merit, their performances are very fun to watch.

They’re all great artists who have contributed and influenced rock, but I would say that you need to maintain a really high level of inductees to ensure being inducted remains a “thing” (to both artists and fans). The list you’ve put together drops it down a tier imo (although there are definitely artists on it who should be in). The wider problem with the HoF is many of the non-rock acts who have been inducted are sub-standard and often come across as just a “tickbox” exercise.

I think they cancel some and let in some not even rock on purpose, so more controversy creates more museum visits and more merch buys. I would like to see a rock museum in every state, and you could find one that more fits your opinions. I have been to the Cleveland museum, some very good exhibits and some I thought had nothing to do with rock. Outside the museum they had Johnny Cash's tour bus, an amazing singer and songwriter, but not rock. He was outlaw country, banned by Nashville assclowns for many years, now added to their museum stuff after he died to cash in, pun intended.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: how Joe Cocker is not in the Hall of Fame completely delegitimizes the whole idea of a rock and roll hall of fame to begin with. He should be in the Hall for Woodstock alone. I hate Jan Wenner and sadly the hall of fame needs to go away just like him and then maybe a new and proper rock and roll hall of fame can be recreated without any prejudices towards deserving artists like Joe Cocker or Foreigner.

However….bands who’ve achieved a legendary status and contributed greatly to the R&R culture, or to the ‘business’ through record and ticket sales not being included is a travesty! For example, Iron maiden are a total rock phenomenon….. they’ve toured the world many times over and put out how many records? Not every band who plays ‘real’ music with ‘real’ instruments and had a couple of top 10 hits deserve to be there wether or not they want to be! Look at Motörhead, they inspired new genres of rock music and Lemmy is a rock ICON, instantly recognisable! It’s too late now Lemmy has passed! Surely bands like this get tonnes of votes every year from their fans, and have done for years…. Surely that counts for something?🤷🏻

You can't have Golden Earring listed and not have Focus. Also Wishbone Ash. The daddy of them all though at missing out is Jethro Tull; 26 studio albums, 2 No. 1 albums in the US and 25 albums making the US top 100.....starting in 1968 with "This Was" and finishing this year with "Rokflote"...56 years and still going. But personally I think it's a blessing that they are not in it, as the R&RHOF is an embarrassment.

I don't know what list you're basing this off of but a couple that you mentioned ARE in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The first one that jumped out at me was Bon Jovi! They were inducted back in 2018!!! A simple Google search can tell you that. Also, I get that you were reaching for straws and picked a few people for their solo efforts but You have to be realistic! Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth won't ever get in as solo artists. Sure, Van Halen is already in there, and they both fit in with that, but I see Montrose getting in before either of them as solo artists. I would LOVE to see Ozzy in for his solo work though. He's already in with Sabbath, but He's one of the few (And one of the first) to have greater success as a solo artist! I see him getting in as a solo artist within the next few years, honestly! He's 75 now, has health issues and they already inducted Randy Rhoads! It just makes sense!

I saw a few performers in your list that I don’t think should GET into the RRHF, “One Hit Wonders”. We may have loved the song that made them famous (example: The Knack..not on your list). But they haven’t earned enough to be inducted into any HOF

That was a great, albeit sad list, but you missed a few: The Beau Brummels, Bread, The Carpenters, Jim Croce, John Denver, Olivia Newton-John, Michael Nesmith, Paul Revere and The Raiders, Johnny Rivers, Neil Sedaka, The Sweet, Three Dog Night, War, XTC and I still think it's a travesty that Bob Welch wasn't inducted as a member of Fleetwood Mac.

I'm not sure I'd go as far into MOR as The Carpenters or Olivia, but I could live with Bread in the hall. James Griffin's album tracks with the band were pure rock! And Jim Croce is a genius singer songwriter worthy of induction. I Agree on Bob Welch. And I didn't think about XTC, but they should be in. I've already mentioned Sweet. And War have been nominated so many times without being inducted they're probably the next candidate for the "musical excellence award" side door.

Some of the bands listed should be in, some listed, I feel, should not. That being said, this should include Sweet and UFO. Two influential bands that influenced many other bands.

Although I don't think everyone on your list should be in the Hall of Fame, the sheer number on the list that I do think deserves the honor shows just what a sham the voting is.

Where is Tommy James? He always gets overlooked. Artists like Joan Jett was heavily influenced by Tommy James. Billy Idol had a big hit with Mony Mony. There are several one hit wonders who had hits with his songs. They have always considered him bubble gum music but if artists who have made it into the R&R Hall using his songs, the committee needs to step back and use influence as a reason for acceptance, after all that's one of the original reasons for inducting. There's also some 60's artists that should have been inducted before any of this rap and hip hop s***.
