100+ beginner tips and tricks for playing FAE FARM!

#ad Fae farm is a brand new cozy game coming to the nintendo switch and PC and today I have over 100 things that you should know about the game as a beginner. These vary from tutorial style information to tips and tricks to improve your game play!

Going to bed before the forced 12:00 time limit grants you a buff. I'm not sure what it does yet but it shows up in the upper left under your resource bars.

Edit: The Eyeball symbol that appears is a well rested buff that grants some regeneration of your health, stamina and mana. Had to add this as a comment as apparently editing a pinned comment is not allowed.

I noticed it doesn’t matter as much if your crafting and placing the furniture that corresponds with the heart/energy/mana bars though… I keep just grinding in the saltwater mines for gemstones to sell so far and I’m still starting each game day with full refills…

I tested the regeneration effect you get for going to bed early and it's seems so minimal for a buff honestly. I'd rather use the extra time to do stuff and mine more. Pop some mana potions and you're good.

I cannot stress enough. DO NOT SELL YOUR FROGS, BUGS, AND BUTTERFLIES!!! It can seem tempting to sell them for easy cash but its not worth it. You're gonna need them for basically everything throughout the main quest and having to stop and go catch them gets really annoying. You don't need much money in the early game so imo its really not worth it. If you do feel like you're lacking cash, fishing in the evenings after you've finished your daily chores is a great way to make extra cash. And in the long term creating polished gems seems to be the best/easiest way to get loads of money.

So as I've been playing for longer, gem polishing is still a good quick and easy way to get money but I've realized you shouldn't sleep on artisan goods. Use the food prep table to turn your crops into their respective chopped version and then pickle or jam them in the artisan table. These sell for much better than the raw crops and don't take too long to make.

You can interact with your animals at any time of the day! If it's after 7pm, you need to go to the registration book and have the animal follow you, so you can brush, groom or petting :)

3:22 here's a tip: you can grab that decoration item, for anyone wondering just jump to the left corner ledge, stand still, then jump to the right small ledge, then left again to the green plateau ☺️ happy fae-farming!!

For those of you confused about her tip regarding the first day, your stamina still depletes but, on the first day only, your stamina being at 0 will not affect you therefore you can continue to clear out your farm or gather resources around the island.

After playing since release, I found a little hack for switch players. If you’re low on feed for your animals and can’t get anymore for awhile.. place feed in the bins, exit the barn/coop, check one of your animals stats to make sure feed is full. Go back in, take the feed out, and it still counts as feeding your animals by the time you go to bed! Forever feed until it’s fixed.

Loving this game and learned a good amount from the video, a fantastic method for making money early on is prioritizing making the gem polisher. Polished gems are worth way more and are fairly easy to farm. Was making thousands before the end of Spring 🤩

I think I hear you mention that “on day one, your stamina does not deplete”. However this is not true, at least not in the current Switch version I am playing. One day one, the day will not end - you you have unlimited time to clear your farm and find resources to refill your stamina. Until you sell items and speak with Pearl to complete her quest.

I think it’s been patched. In the demo it didn’t deplete then in the first release it did deplete but you could still harvest resources.

In case you haven't figured this out, you need to build the artisan products table. You need a lot of fish fillets but it's worth the effort for the shipping jobs. For regular selling, not so much.

Cleo gives you the key to the mine, you need the copper ore to craft a seal for the portals inside the mine. Hope this was helpful!!

To upgrade your tools speak to cinder, the best way to get money is sell stuff at the market stalls and the mines should open if you follow your quests.

Yes you can. Once you unlock them you also unlock a store that allows you to buy different wings using different materials.

It upgrades automatically as you complete the main story quests. I haven't finished the main story so I don't know if it can evolve further after that though.

Were you just unable to find it while it was following you or did it actually dissappear? Usually if you go to the hutch and register it the chicken should just teleport near you. If it glitched I would reset the day and try again.

You can't date multiple people at a time but you can only marry one. But if you marry someone and want to marry someone else later it is super easy to end a relationship.

My wife and I bought this and played it for almost 2 hours before deciding that to request a Steam refund (which must be done within 2 hours of gameplay). The game has about the worst interface I have ever encountered and even though we're both very hardcore gamers, we could not figure out how to do anything without multiple tries and much frustration. The keybinding interface does not allow us to choose the keys we normally use in all of these games, and so we were stuck having to navigate the game unnaturally. At one point I wound up in PAUSE mode and no matter what I did I could not figure out how to exit PAUSE mode. ESC did not work, Ctrl-C did not work, hitting the PAUSE button did not work, right clicking to back out did not work, nothing I tried ended the PAUSE. That's when I decided to join my wife in a refund. Too bad, the game looked promising, but omg, whoever designed the interface needs to go back to design school.

Honestly just use a controller. This game has the most QoL of any farm sim i've played, it's worth it. Only animals are kinda scuffed , but you can pet them a couple times and ignore them , they just need food every 10 days. Everything else is extremely streamlined and comfy.

Sorry for the confusion but it's not false... It shows that it depletes but you can keep going despite it depleting..
