honestly man, i hated every aspect of it. i know its meant t obe meta and stuff but it is literally 'weaponized bias'. basically the story is so completely biased towards deadpool winning they make it that everyone else is too dumb to just.... kill him. deadpool might have consdierably regeneration but he is not immune to like.... being incenterated by lightning or lasers. its just that under other circumstances no one would go that far to deal with deadpool. Basically he only win cause of the story and even for a meta story it was just...... Bad.

The whole point is to show and comment on how pointless everything would be if we all do not bother with the suspension of disbelief. It is ultimately all meta-commentary, which is completely fitting to DP. It doesn't matter how powerful the characters are - they're just characters. Lines on a paper. They have no more power than a drawing of a stick-man done on a napkin has against a man holding the napkin.

What's ironic is that in the show Ultimate Spiderman, there was an episode where Deadpool showed up, and his target was Taskmaster. In previous episodes, Taskmaster was shown to be a big threat, even infiltrating a high school as a gym teacher to try and deduce Spiderman's identity (but Peter threw his exam cos he already figured out his plan). When he showed up at Taskmaster's hideout, he was shitting his pants in absolute fear. His main power is to copy and adapt anybody's fighting style, and Deadpool is completely and utterly unpredictable to him, and therefore he's powerless against him.

Another reason I heard that Taskmaster is so fearful of the merc with a mouth is that the way Taskmaster fights is to instinctively mimic the opponents fighting style, but Deadpool’s fighting style usually ends with him missing a few body parts and/or with a few bullets in him, so taskmaster would fight like he has a healing factor… without one.

Can we just appreciate the pure villainy of it all, not on deadpool side, but the creators. He is aware that he is in the comics. And he will always be aware that he'll never leave it. Having to come to terms with the terrible things he's done, or seeing the consequences of his actions cause pain to himself or others, that is the deadpool I love. One of my favorite issues ends with an anticlimactic of him blowing up a building and getting trapped underneath it and completely skipping what the entire arc had been building up to

Deadpools healing factor is even more broken, cause its a dying factor, not a healing factor. His cells are constantly dying but instead of replacing them with new living cells, wades body replaces them with new dead cells, which is why his body is always healing in constant overdrive.

This is one of the reasons why the Deadpool comics didn't have the biggest reader base, the writing leaves a lot to be desired in how he does these things. Kitty Pride is trapped in an eternal mirror maze with no exits? How the hell does Deadpool know or even have the ability to create such a thing for her?
