I’ll add a tip about the hacksaw. Make sure when you install the blade that the teeth face forward and you’re putting pressure on the blade on the forward stroke. People often install the blade backwards and it doesn’t work well that way.

Thanks for showing the way! Lots of others on YT are making complicated bars with reducers, nipples, carabiners, etc. which are not needed! Just a simple bar works fine. I do like the wooden rod idea; maybe even bamboo if you can find it with a 1.5" diameter? Take a narrow grip for the 500# deadlift. Wait, I have bamboo rods for the garden. A bundle of them made with seven or eight wrapped with tape would be unbreakable.😀

I may attach Rubber or plastic Caps for the ends (not essential but looks good) Thank you for sharing my friend!

One more suggestion, if you have a door way pull up bar then it can be used as barbell for this setup

1" DIA x 36" Dowel rod, foam pipe insulation sleeve over it works for me...$6

You could measure 32" from the non thread end and save yourself a cut

00:20 Looks like there is one screw in each of the platform supports... In your video that demonstrates how to build the platform you use 2 screws. Does this matter? Cheers.

Are there any exercises that would not be safe to do without having the bands held fast by clip or similar?

If you had to chose 1 row exercise only, which one would you say translates best to bands?

Instead of cutting the threads off, can’t I just put some end caps over them?
@SammyChon3 жыл бұрын
That's what I did
@Neo_The_One_2 жыл бұрын
@@SammyChon I wouldn't risk it. I used to deliver pipes like that when I drove a plumbing deliver truck. If for some reason the cap comes of you can cut you hand really badly. Threads are razor sharp. Just cut it off.

Why 32 " ? thanks
@kyleyamzon45129 ай бұрын
I know I'm kinda late to the conversation, but why does the bar need to be exactly 32 inches?
@AmranShah3 жыл бұрын
why cant u just use a cut wood pole? isnt that much simpler?
@RightURKen73 жыл бұрын
If it's big and strong enough. Wood is weaker so it could break.
