Thanks for the great tip. These boards do go for silly prices. The X3 system at $545 is my current budget winner😜. I've now answered my next question to why you didn't put some hooks closer together. It's because you throw a stepping block to do your presses which is another great idea. I guess one can make multiple versions of this.

It's a pleasure! So happy you liked our resistance band platform. 😆😆 The X3 is definitely a budget winner, I mean killer 😜ha ha Yes, what's so great about making your own, is that you can customise as you wish... I'll be experimenting with different variations of the platform in the future.

Hi my good brother. Really sorry for the late reply. Been working on a new video for the past month, as well as a new program which has sucked out ever bit of time from me. And since I like to answer all the comments myself, I just haven't had the time. Anyway, it’s no excuse... I’ll definitely try and get to responding more rapidly next time. My team and I are so happy that you are so willing to support us! However, we have closed our Patreon account for the time being. The reason for this move was due to time allocation. Our small team is struggling to keep up with all the demands of KZbin, Instagram and our website as is. Creating exclusive and valuable content on Patreon too, meant that we were having to sacrifice our time on the other platforms. So, we made the decision to streamline things. Perhaps, we will re-open our Patreon account in the future, as our team grows bigger. Meanwhile, if you would like to support us, please consider purchasing one or more of our digital programs on our website www.exercisinghealth.net/shop We are also currently working on a new 'Strong Feet, Strong foundation Program' which focuses specifically on building athleticism from the ground up. We are super excited about it! Regardless, thanks again for showing such interest in our content. I can't tell you how much pleasure it gives us when we see people appreciate the hard work we put into our videos. Keep in touch brother! Regards, Chris

I’m confused on the physics of you holding the bands and jumping but the platform NOT coming off the ground 🤔
@barefootstrength3 жыл бұрын
The platform is heavy enough to remain grounded, despite resistance from two mini bands. If I increase the resistance with thicker bands, I just place two weight plates or weighted bags on either end of the platform to anchor it down.... works perfectly 👌

I'll be building this over the weekend. Great idea! I have been searching for a great way to do an economic home gym for when it gets cold outside. This will be my winter go to set up. I was wondering if you could comment on or do a video on body fat percentage. Instagram vs. Reality. I'm at 16%, which I feel is healthy for a male. Is it true that lower body fat percentages makes a person moody?
@barefootstrength4 жыл бұрын
Hey! How did the build go? Are you enjoying it? We might look into that at some point, as it is an interesting topic for discussion. The optimal body fat percentage varies slightly from person to person, based on numerous factors such as genetics and activity levels. However, if the one's body fat is far off from 'optimal', it would definitely influence their hormonal profile, which could have a ripple effect on their mood too.
@justinschultz43254 жыл бұрын
@@barefootstrength I use the platform often. It works great. I spent $15 on it, because I already had the wood laying around the house. I use it along with body weight exercises to switch things up. My favorite things to do are bench press, deadlifts, and squats. I'm the same guy who commented on instagram about cycling being my addiction. Resistance training is a way for me to balance out my excessive cardio.

If the bands provide half a ton of resistance they should be able to help lift half a ton. Resistance is resistance, your muscles don't know the difference. The only real difference is the change of resistance from bands over the course of a movement.

How did you find training with bands for two months? Did you manage to retain your strength? Our platform is very versatile... great for those days when there is just no time to go to the gym, but you want to still get a few sets in.
@Atarix7773 жыл бұрын
@@barefootstrength - The training with the bands had it pro's and its con's; so for me it would the best to get at least some little weights beside the platform, too. When it came to my upper body I was able to hold my shape for these two months (what is great) and my legs and my back improoved even a little bit just the resistcance bands what was very surprising. Over all I didn't lost my shape during these two months, so I totaly agree with you that a platform like this is great for the theys you just didn't made it to the gym. And there is also to mention that I did'nt had a platform like this and had to be very creative for these months, so I guess that the workout with the platform will for sure improove the training with the resistancebands.

Maybe its because i am too traditional or an idiot when it comes to physics but those bands are a weird way to gauge how much you are lifting; someone explain it to me. How can one go up and down in weight?
@barefootstrength3 жыл бұрын
The various bands are rated at different resistances due to their thickness. So, for example, you would just swap out the thinner band for a thicker on to add resistance to a movement. Multiple bands can also be added together to gain even more resistance. As you go up in thickness, the resistance can actually get pretty intense with bands...
@jaleesa00 Жыл бұрын
I suggest gamerbody youtube, he shows how to track workouts with resistance bands. You can also add resistances to "go up" in weight. There are also videos on how to know exactly the lbs of resistance a band gives by leveraging it and placing a dumbbell on it to see when it rises which would effectively be the max resistance. Sorry if that was confusing. I have just found resistance bands are more forgiving on my joints as I age.
