@@Scalti I actually have a question about your signature style. How on earth do you get your foundations to stay different colours? No matter what colour combo I switch to, ALL foundations turn that colour. I really like your colourcoding of foundations, and it would be a huge help for my somewhat addled old noggin. You mentioned guides in several videos; have you gone over your colouring in there by chance? Where might I find your guides?

Albeit 2 years later, I just got into Satisfactory and besides my massive 1-floor "creates every starter item inefficiently" factory, this was my first attempt at building a real purposeful one. Without mods (and thus no flying) it did have a few teething issues in terms of building vertically - but getting it completed with a few minor changes (overflow system for AWESOME Sink and using the "new sandwich floor" from your more recent videos) felt so satisfying!

Excellent build! Very clean and well planned out. Also an interesting approach in terms of planning. I tend to build flat with subfloor belt-work, and use floors to either double up the production line, or just do a whole new line (the only times I run one full line across multiple floors is when I run out of space). But here you kinda went vertical from the get go :) Oh, and really high quality video production as well!

very nice build and well presented. The only suggestion I would make is to note that you are using mods if you are and that they are identified in the video description as well as a link to the mod manager so people can easily add them, or point out that the build is not using mods, but that some items must be unlocked from the awesome shop. or something like that .. Just thinking of low hanging fruit so to speak to be more informative and prevent annoying a short-tempered player who has no clue where to get a wall with a conveyor hole through it. subbed btw .. I really like the build.

@@Scalti The absolutely easiest way to get tickets early on is to take a long walk around the spawn zone and gather up any crash bits laying around. You're disintigrating computers that you could use later but you get all the necessary goodies now. Also, I love these build guides. I can do the math but I can't do the interior design. Subbed, I love these self contained production units. I have been doing something similar, but I like to build backwards, so my final assemblers/constructors are on the bottom. Saves having to necessarily place down containers when I can just conveniently access the final machines on the ground floor. I have a design goal* of train fed inputs from raised railway later on, so that's also part of my reasoning. Fantastic production quality on your videos though. Keep up the nice work!

I wouldn’t call it stealing. Whole reason I’m making these is for others to use and even add their own personal touches. Expect to start seeing more ‘tips and tricks’ type content as a result.

Thanks a lot for these videos First tier copper and iron completed, Not having the MK11 miner i may build the building and connect it a little later. One small comment i would like to make and it is this, not all people who play Factorio or Satisfactory are geniuses in design as the game goes on, i read somewhere in Factorio the number of people who send a rocket up is in single figures. My point is your tutorial has helped so much with building techniques as i was afraid to go vertically, Struggled a little with the first build (first tier iron) and breezed through the copper tier 1. So there is more to thank you than you can imagine. Pete

I learned so much because you show us what, but leave the "how?" to us -- so there was a lot of trial and error to discovering how you created the spacings. You said in another video you would like to see our builds -- I have some photos. How do I connect on Instragram? My thoughts... *drools on keyboard at the creativity* So for starters, I am sitting here in awe at most people's factory builds. These massive hyper tube navigated structures and I am jealous of them. Can I build one just like it? Hell no lol. But then I come across THIS video and have an epiphone... "Self-contained mining and processing". Would have never thought of doing it this way. Also I would have never figured you could attach splitters and mergers directly to a machine like that

I love the clean look and efficiency. The floating floors thing bothers me a bit (but what about PHYSICS!), but it's fairly trivial to add in some supports. But one thing I'd like to see, is how to set up overflow, so your containers fill up first as buffers, then overflow to an Awesome SINK. How much extra space, if any, would that take? Or can it be done in the same footprint? I know in early stages, we only have a dumb splitter, later a smart splitter, but only at the programmable splitter can we have a specific overflow function. So the compromise ia to just use a dumb splitter at first and fill buffer half as fast, or shut off awesome sink for a bit while we go build another factory, by which time maybe one container will be full.

That’s just because you’re seeing the end product. These designs take time and a few iterations of exploring pathing and layout before making the videos. Granted this is a simple factory in comparison to other things you can make, it still needs to be as well thought out and planned as possible. I do my best to not mislead you all with poor or half baked designs.

All these people making factories that are "clean" and "simple" and they always leave the miner outside. I came up with a 2x3x8 design that include the miner. Miner/smelter first floor, 5 walls up start the second floor have a lift to take things from the smelter to the 2nd floor, and have your constructor there. It's tall, applies to impure nodes easily, and it makes using a giant sky conveyer bus ezpz.

07:18 Theeeere it is. I didn't register this warning in your tier 1 iron build, and learned the painful way, that the build order is extremely specific and deviating from it causes eeeeendless clipping issues. I gave up on that build, and just loaded an earlier save, because I was almost done and THEN discovered why you built everything in such a strange sequence. You use clipping tricks in almost every build, and while the result is absolutely breathtaking, the discovery that one mistake could mnean having to delete dozens and dozens of structures to clear a clipping issue. Might I suggest you expliocitly warn of this possibility in your next video? I've learned my lesson, but perhaps I can spare others my infuriated facedesking.

Wow, just wow. I could spend twice as much time on it and it wouldn't look half as clean as this

Why include the smelters in the build? I feel like it's much cleaner and easier to smelt at miner and just belt in the volume you want wherever you decide to place your building. I think it might be better to focus on transfer rate rather than miner level. That makes it more universal. A build based on a rate of 120/m for example can be acheived with various levels of miners on different resource nodes
