Great video! Question: my room is filled with white walls, so during nighttime my JVC image suffers BADLY. Would this screen give me better contrast at night? Cannot control room lights or paint the walls. Thank you!!!!

I own a screen from elite screens with the Cinegrey 5D material, which is pretty much the same except it has a little higher gain than the 3D material. In the situation you are describing it would definitely give you better contrast compared to a white screen even at night. Just the light from the screen reflecting back off from White (or bright) Walls and/or ceiling will wash out the image on a matte white screen. The only time I would consider a white screen is if I had a completely light controlled environment, which includes the walls and ceiling being painted black or at least a very dark color.

Can this specific screen be used with an ULTRA short throw projector or not? I see so much conflicting info on it.

No. This screen is designed for standard long throw projectors. For an ultra short throw projector you would want one of their CLR type screens which are specifically designed for that use: elitescreens.com/products/aeon-clr-series/ It doesn't help that in some of their marketing they refer the 3D material as an ALR/CLR type screen. While it's true that the screen will reject some of the reflections coming from the ceiling it is not designed for an ultra short throw projector and will not give you good results if you use one with it.
