Glad I race in VR! Asetek does make nice kit. My only complaint with Asetek is the supply chain - new stuff sells out quickly and restock can take a while. The screen does look nice. As I can’t see that screen in VR, I’ll look forward to a 5090 graphics or a next gen Big Screen Beyond.

The r12 isnt close and no wheel from moza touches this not even the new lambo wheel. Believe me we tried them at the expo. Also no wheelbase matches asetek on the market right now. Only one that comes close is the new wheelbase coming from simlabs and only the 35nm one. It takes that much to match the aseteks feel in dynamic range with details. Not about the power but about that dynamic feel with details and the way it pushes it. An r12 cannot compete. You can enjoy your r12 but being delusional doesn't make sense. I don't get buyers like you who must hear there base is the best or must believe it when it's a more budget style 12nm wheelbade. Is it good? Yes is it the best? No

I will make the comment section even more repetitive. It is a good wheel... but the pricing is insane, 1.600 euros is 11.932 DKK, I could get myself a Fanatec DD2 for 1500 euros (11.187). Or a Moza FSR Formula wheel, which can do a lot of the stuff the Asetek Invicta wheel can, for 729 euros and it is only 5.436 DKK. All that hype just to be blown back by the price.

Its one of the best pure sim racing designed wheels I've seen. I want it so bad, so much so i almost want to switch to asetek completely haha I was upset with the shifters at first the arms being the same things like that bit then I watched the launch video and understand the whole wanting to be able to mix match the entire lineup. Also the grips idk i love them they are such a soft rubber its amazing. I dont want overly grippy grips idk why anybody does. With gloves anything is grippy and then with hands we have moisture, we have things like that so to me overly grippy wheels suck. All preference but I never realized how nice aseteks rubber felt until I got to touch it. Tbh i don't like overly light wheels. This one is light but not to light. I think we overhyped to light of wheels and every base I feel light wheels on I notice the cheaper feeling ffb. Yes more detail but more robotic feeling and usually light wheels have lighter grips and I don't like thin grips it also makes ffb feel thin even if detailed. Jve found denser wheelbases give off a more quality ffb feel dossnt hsve to be the most details to feel the most quality. I prefer a dense ffb feel that comes through on solid grips and solid wheels. One big flaw its way to expensive even for what it is.

Hi Dave! A question... I've ordered a GT Omega prime rig and Asetek equipment to go with it. Should be a nice upgrade over the K800 keyboard I've been using to race with until now. One problem is that there isn't any floor space to put it on, so I'm planning to build a loft over the bed while I wait for the wares to arrive. I will have just over a meter between the platform and the ceiling, will that be enough for a rig with 27" monitors?

Well, a good set of pedals will make you faster, a very good wheel base will make you more consistent and maybe faster. But a steering wheel is just a steering wheel. Why should I pay more for the wheel than I have spent on my invicta pedals or on my asetek base? I just don’t get it.

@ty194Ай бұрын
@@v3jc3ST What do you mean there's no max spec? There is a max spec on everything that's customisable and for the Invicta wheel it's 1700. Maybe English isn't your first language and you don't understand what a maximum specification is. As for the Omega V2, it's going to be more like 500 difference and none of the wheels you've mentioned are better from every point of view - only maybe from your subjective opinion. None the others use flush integrated screens, none of them use aluminium buttons, none of them even use multiposition switches. The only thing you can point at are the shrouds used in the construction of the shifters as being lower quality than the others, but that's a trade off and the grips are upgradable which is why I said in its max spec. Anyway it's just false to claim that BSTs Omega Pro V2 is the same price - firstly it's not even for sale yet and secondly, I've spoken to them on their Discord and they've said the price is going to exceed 2k at its max spec all in, so it will be more in the VPG or Precision Sim Racing range rather than the GSI etc range.
@v3jc3STАй бұрын
@@ty194 For top spec wheel I will don't want use slippery F1 grips or low quality LMP grips which are not attached down there and there is flex. Anyway I am far away from target group where they are aiming with this wheel.
