I didn’t go the Philippines but Thailand was very similar. Even what seemed like the smallest tip by US standards the workers would get very excited but also some appeared embarrassed that I was giving them too much. I had one lady run after me thinking it was mistake. Everyone I met in Asia had rather lovely disposition.

This is the funniest massage I have ever seen. 🤣 it reminds me of a street market in delhi where the guys pick up all the stuff of the street onto their backs and run like headless chickens into nearby alleys once the cops.come, etc and then come back cool as cucumbers with not a care in the world, set up their stands and start yelling their spiel as if nothing in the world happened a few minutes back, and then 15 mins later It is off again with their wares on their head and they melt away into thin air.
