I beg to disagree. Those are names of the "owners" of the Ancestors of said Afrikan Americans. They are not the indigenous, original or true names of Afrikan in the Americans aka Afrikan Americans! Robinson, Williams, Johnson, Smith are all european names!

I agree with you the European last names do not reflect myheritage or culture. I do not like to be addressed by my maiden last name I don't like and never did. I am not particular about my married divorce name either. But I hate to be called by my maiden name I will ignore a person or will tell you will call me by my first name.

Williams I grew up with just in my class with 7 Williams 2 Chris Chris Williams are my closest friends.
