Love these videos, my test is in a few days 🤞🏼I’ll pass with your help, thanks for the uploads. Could you please make people aware of how strict and robot-like the testers are? I’m somebody who would absolutely talk to the wall and I’m fully aware that the testers aren’t paid to talk to me, however I found it very distracting how abrupt and blunt they can be, to a point where my first tester didn’t even make eye contact with me and she spoke so fast I panicked before the test even begun. I wasn’t prepared for this in my first test and it completely threw me off throughout the whole test. 😂 they’re probably supposed to be like that but I don’t think people are aware of how formal it is, I was petrified of her 😂

Hi Dane, firstly, thanks for your videos.. please, if you could tell me , as I see, your videos are mainly talking about manual cars, I'm just a bit unsure regarding automatic cars and the use of handbrake. For example, if I'm stopping at the stop line in an uphill road, would I need to put the handbrake on (as automatic cars do not roll back)? , secondly, the step to use the handbrake, what I have learnt for an automatic car, you need to put in the Neutral position, than handbrake, than P for parking, this way you don't force your gear box. If I do this sequence when I'm parking or in a signal read light, would I lose marks?

Hi Dane, your videos have been a great help. I have my test tomorrow, and one thing I’m struggling with is the reserve around the corner ( surprise surprise) is it ok for me to come out form the curb a fair bit as long as I get close to it again and straighten up?

Yes, you don't need to be really close to the kerb the whole time, it's OK if you are a bit wide in the middle.

You don't, do a sideways blindspot and rely on the mirrors a bit more

During the test, do we really need to hold the automatic parking break while waiting for traffic light even though it shows the parking sign ?

It would depend on the car because some modern cars might have in built technology that holds the, for example auto hold. Best to check with your driving school to be sure because I'm just speaking in general terms, there's so many more cars out there now with different types of handbrake options.

Yes you can use auto hold but be aware that the tester may want to see that you are able to use the regular handbrake on the hill for example. Either way is fine.
