The Half Penny ship 29:52 is displaying Sir Francis Drake's ship the Golden Hind. When I recently bought that coin, I've read about the Francis Drake's expedition circumnavigation and about his life after then. Very interesting!

Beautiful old coins that actually had value and meant something when they were in your pocket or purse. The Irish penny coin has a hen (female) chicken and chicks on the back, turkeys have never been a common bird in Ireland.

Love me some copper! Some awesome pieces there, mate. That 10lb bar is a beast! A really nice hoard of coins as well. The Francs and Centimes are French pre Euro coins. I think they have copper in them as well. Love the idea of using copper to potentially get silver 👍🏽

Copper, being a base metal, or industrial metal is traded in regular (or 'avoirdupois') ounces, so a lb. of copper is a bit different than a lb. of silver/gold.

I would love to find a 10K "COPPER" bar. I have a 5 pound ingot poured by a relative, but that big shiny copper bar you have is a worthy display piece.

That 10 pounder is really sweet mate. Over here in the States i just go to any 1 of 4 local banks and get $25-$50 of Lincoln Cents and sort out the copper ones and return the Zinc cents. Copper is going for $4.66/lb so 1 copper lincoln cent is worth 3 cents, best way to stack copper for 1/3rd of spot!

4:30 this is very interesting about copper, it seems people have no problem paying very high prems on it, but when it comes to silver and gold they are a lot more interested in the prems, im guessing if you were to put the same prem on silver as copper has you wouldnt sell any? thoughts mate?

Very interesting point there SP, I think because copper is so low priced already people don’t really realise how much % in premiums they are paying. The ‘spot price’ of copper isn’t readily available/followed like silver & gold is also

In America, the cheapest and easiest way to "stack copper" is by saving pre - 1982 pennies. They're drying up fast but still available

As they dry up, the prices go up. I saw a roll of pre-1982 pennies online, can't remember where, for $14.99. So, if my math is correct that would be about 5 oz of copper in a roll? Whereas, I've picked up 1 oz .999 copper rounds for $1 to $2 a piece. Another website has 1909 - 1958 pennies for $3.99 ea - staggered pricing for larger quantities. Between the two, I'd rather have the copper rounds.

Copper looks beautiful but it's a crazy bad investment. No bullion dealer will touch it when you go to sell. You'll be very lucky to get back 10 cents on the dollar from a scrapyard. Don't touch it unless it's copper tube for plumbing. At least that's practical and won't have a ridiculous premium.
