Solid review! Thanks for the info. $5 bucks is a damn good price.

How did this shaver hold up one year later? Thx for the review. Appreciate it.

I've had a handful of cheap Chinese shavers from Amazon and have been disappointed with all of them with their performance a month into use. You get what you pay for.

It could last for 4 months, and end up costing as much as JUST THE BLADES on the Phillips over the course of a year (and you get a NEW RAZOR 3 times as often)... I've bought a few things from Temu, and MOST have been well worth the money. Yeah, you get a turd once in a while, but as long as you're careful (reading the descriptions) you can get some good deals!!

So after all those years experience with Philips electric shavers, which do you think is the best? The old faithful 3000, the in-between 5000 or the new and expensive 9000?

I guess it’s a case of how much you want to spend for me the 5000 is the right balance between cost and performance there in mind that every 14 months I will need to put new blades in it.

Agree with you. I’ve tried all and reckon the 5000 is good but have recently found the new 3000 (S3203) to give a better result.

These shavers are the equivalent of the "original" in my experience. You can also buy the blades (in sets) separately on Temu, and according to the products reviews on the item page, they also work on the Philips. A set of blades cost about 45% the price of the razor.

Ive not had much joy with Temu versions, they just dont stay sharp.

@@mgtracey I shall no doubt be in a position to confirm shortly, because I have already ordered. Not much to look forward to .
