I am a born again believer and I have personally experienced deliverance. The demons are like parasites and require deep repentance for doors that have previously been opened. This was from oppression, not possession. Possession implies a form of ownership.

I have for the last 19 years, and we only minister to reborn christians. What I encounter on a regular basis is not only demons coming out of these people, but we also had to address hurt inner children and hurt inner adults, occasionally DiD parts that were formed as a result of trauma(Dissociative Identity Disorder) nehilim and hybrids and soul copies.

Why would you want to do deliverance on an unbeliever? The demon would come out, and the unbeliever’s sin would let the demon back in. And God gets no glory in that. Excellent video. So good to hear true Biblical teaching. Can you comment on the statement "Take back what the enemy (Satan) stole." This is part of the hyper charismatic church thinking. But it seems to me the Bible is clear that Jesus defeated the Enemy at the cross and Jesus took back what the enemy stole. We ourselves don't have to take it back. It also seems like the charismatic church focuses so much on defeating the devil and screaming at him, but when we look at scripture, we don't need to even talk to the devil. Jude says that the archangel Michael said to Satan, "The Lord rebuke you."

As the late but great Pastor Derek Prince said it, "possession is the wrong term to be using as that implies ownership". Demonization is far more accurate and the two should never be treated lightly as this is part of the problem, when you have been a Pastor for as long as DP was and saw how many people which had been true believers in Christ Jesus in some cases a very long time had be delivered by him from demons..there is certainly more too this and personally it is a topic close to home as I suffered from sleep paralysis for years and when I finally had that epiphany, and came to Christ and was baptised in water the sleep paralysis still continued. It's not my intention to muddy any waters but it's been a hard long fight for me that will stay with me forever or unless God makes me forget it at some point.

That’s why I used the word demonization in the video. Derek Prince had some good teachings, but was very wrong on the issue of demonic deliverance. The sleep paralysis continues because the sleep paralysis is not demonic. It’s the result of sickness and living in a fallen world.

Just for context I have to say that sleep paralysis has to be directly linked with Demons or more broadly the supernatural as Many a time a felt the mattress depress next to my limbs as they were crawling their way up to my face. I've felt them breath on me whilst I have felt their hands around my wrist and hip on one occasion for example. It's a weird kind of feeling as there doesn't seem to be 100% resolution in being abIe to feel them like normal skin on skin contact. It's just different I guess even God will use evil for good and I wouldn't be surprised if that's how in some cases he chastises his sons when they are falling back into some patterns of sinfulness or unbroken habits that have been part of their life for a very long time.

I was very much fooled by the deliverance ministry many years ago but came out of that, by God's grace. For me, a scripture that is very helpful in confronting this false teaching is where Jesus is accused by the Pharisees of casting out demons by Beelzebub, but Jesus basically highlights the ridiculousness of this is by saying how can Satan possibly cast himself out/be against himself. A friend who believes in the deliverance ministry says we are filled with the Holy Spirit, but it is our soul that is inhabited by demons. It's so sad and such an area of bondage, but more importantly, it is saying that the blood of Jesus shed on the cross was not enough.

I don't want to argue, but this is untrue: Christians can have demons...but, I do agree that they can NOT be possessed by them, because their spirit belongs to God (Holy Spirit dwells there). People have three parts of their being: spirit, soul (mind) and body. Again, demons CANNOT access the spirit of someone who is born-again and has The Holy Spirit, but they can inhabit the soul and the body. I agree with you. I have been preaching that since 1985. The casting out of demons from unbelievers was so that they could be "in their right mind" to choose whether to continue on that path or to choose salvation through JESUS. Thus, if they choose not to follow JESUS, the demons return and find the house swept and EMPTY......and the resulting end of them is worse than before. I have been doing street ministry for 40 years and have seen this very situation play out. Demons cast out Gospel Acceptance Free Or Demons cast out Gospel Rejection Misery worse than ever before That is for unbelievers to have a chance to choose and not have an excuse in front of GOD on judgement day : "the devil made me do it, i had no choice...." Done. Your done. If you look at Pauls letters of Ephesians, Galations, Corinthians etc its clear BELIEVERS are buffeted from the outside but absolutely no precedent for a believers possession. If a believer is stealing, drinking, lying, devisive etc its the works of THEIR OWN FLESH and they own it. Part of their walk to put off these things, conquer them and walk holy as HE is holy.......to break the HABITUAL sinning, not the occasional sin (singular)....if any sin.....confess and GOD is just and Able to cleanse and forgive Difference between habitual and occasional singular sin. Dealing with the flesh through the power of JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT is to become a better person BECAUSE you got saved, not trying TO BE SAVED through being a better person.....salvation is by faith and not works lest any should boast....... I have, however, sometimes wondered about verses like these: "Of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme." 1 Timothy 1:20 "To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." 1 Corinthians 5:5

The context of these verses is removing the immoral person from the fellowship. What they mean is that they are to be removed from fellowship, sent back into “the world” (handed over to Satan), so that when they are disciplined in this way for their sin, they would have the opportunity to recognise the seriousness of it, and it would lead to godly sorrow for their sin and repentance, and eventually restoration to fellowship.

TROUBLESOME INDEED,, born again Christian in my mid 20s & I’m 44 now… I will NEVER forget that encounter when I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior but as a baby Christian I back slid big time and since then it has been going on and off for years , the more I fall into the world the harder it gets to seek the Lord… 😢 i stopped everything and went back to addiction and it got worse… Question 🙋🏻‍♀️ because this happened to me! individuals (Christian) says I have demons inside of me but had so much trouble understanding… when I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior I was sealed with the Holy Spirit right? Thank you dear brother for some clarification. It really is so easy to have a demonic spirit for EVERYTHING rather than maybe checking our own hearts, walk and sanctification with Yeshua/Jesus. I was born again in 2019 (Praise Yah), stripped of any physical desires towards another, binge drinking and dabbling into occult practices. Just lately though, I feel I have lost any authority to take captive, rebuke or cast out dark, out of NO WHERE thoughts in my mind in the name of Jesus. The spiritual attacks have got so bad, the last 2 sabbaths have been the WORST and NEVER in my walk all of these years have I ever been attacked on what IS and should be the HOLIEST day of the week!! I am devastated and feel so ashamed, which then leads to being angry at our dear Father (I KNOW the problem is me, not HIM) for not protecting me?? I have heard to take captive our thoughts takes practice, is that correct??? And is it Jesus or ourselves that take captive our thoughts? Sorry for long comment. I recently went through EXACTLY what you're describing the last year or so. (I was in the occult heavily for 25 years, radically saved and changed like you!). It just seemed to stop working. I was directed to a verse by the Holy Spirit, James 4:7. *Submit yourselves, therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.* Nowhere does the bible tell us to verbally engage the enemy or confront the darkness. When I started asking Jesus to make them go, they did, immediately. I have not had the exhausting constant "warfare" since I started letting Jesus Christ be in charge! HE is the power, I am His child. A child asks their Father for protection! I had to realize that I felt powerful and it was partly pride, which I had to repent for. When we humble ourselves like a little child (Matthew 18:1-7), He listens! Do not engage with the enemy, simple as that. Also, make sure no doors are open, especially sexual sins, substance use/abuse and any new age or occult practices which have infiltrated most churches these days under the guise of "holy spirit power". This has only been a recent happening, I also know MANY believers are saved, yet oppressed in some form or another. Wrong thoughts, dark feelings, even feeling ill without any explanation. But always make a personal examination if we are in any sin, like unforgiveness, anger at someone - lack of love. These are common and a huge deal to our Lord! Always confess these things and ask Him to forgive us and CLEANSE us of them and He will!! In Ephesians 4:27 Paul instructs us to “give no place to the devil”. Paul is speaking to believers here. The Greek word for place is translated from a word that means “any portion or space marked off, as it were from a surrounding space”. Although we most certainly cannot be possessed by anything demonic, we can give the demonic a place or a space in our lives. And we do this through unrepented sin. The sin of unforgiveness is the most common. Karl Payne has an excellent book “Spiritual Warfare” that delves into this issue. While I agree with you, that we cannot be possessed by a demon, we can grant Satan a place in our lives. Through unrepented sin, the demonic can cause us great suffering. It is only through repentance that we can be delivered from the suffering.

Trying to oppress us is not succeeding, it is failing. Yet Paul tells us that we can *give* a place to the devil, whereupon the devil can succeed. We do not have language to properly express what the spiritual can do to us. I absolutely agree that possession of a believer is not possible. We belong to Jesus and He will never let us go. That said, we live with this “body of death” (Rom 7:24) that can still experience the consequences of sin. That body can still *give* the devil a place through unrepented sin, such as unforgiveness or a “root of bitterness” (Heb 12:15). But, once the believer claims his position in Christ, that he is a child of the one true God and that God loves him and will forgive all his sins (1John 1:9) and that he has direct access to His throne of God through the cross, the believer can repent of the sin that gave a place to the devil and remove the devil from that place that he gave to him. This is not so much an excorcism as it is a believer’s rejection of the devil through the authority of Christ.

Matt...please advise...Can Christians be affected by a curse put on them. I had a disagreement with a neighbour and I believe she was into witchcraft and put a curse on my health. Ever since that day 15 years ago I have had continual severe physical and mental health problems - one after the other with not even a one day break. I have prayed numerous times about this but the same issue persists. Is this just bad luck or a curse? I want to know I am free as you say I should be. If it is a curse how can I be released from it?

No, you cannot be put under a curse if you are a true born again child of the Most High. Look for footholds you may have given the enemy first in your own life. demons can oppress believers but Christ has the victory and thus we as His children have received His blessing. Pray for discernment, fast and eat non processed food and cut out sugar. The Word has the answers. Believers are always targeted, my whole life has been tribulation but I trust God. I have submitted every part of my life in obedience....I eat a strict carnivore diet and have not eaten any sugar or processed food for over 2 years. So that leaves the Job experience again which I have already been told by others praying for me I am going through. All good will keep pressing on in faith...nothing will stop me from deepening my relationship with God which is my only hope and joy as everything else in my life has fallen apart due to continual physical ill health. I will be glad to leave this earth and go home when the day comes. It is just upsetting as my suffering does not seem to have a purpose at this stage in my life.

I addressed experiences in the video. The Bible is clear on this issue. I’ve used countless Scripture to support this. As I said, there is not even one example in Scripture of this. The verse you posted has two problems 1. It would seem they were false concerts (so not born again with the Spirit). 2. It doesn’t say they were demon possessed. This can simply refer to the thoughts of Satan entering into their mind, and acting in opposition to the Holy Spirit. “Satan filled thine heart” strongly suggests this. Nothing about demon possession.

Yeah this does trouble me a little. Obviously as we read in scripture demons were inhabiting people when Jesus was walking out his ministry on the earth and they were cast out of people, even by Paul in the book of acts if I am correct. And this of course was after Jesus ascended back to the father and the Holy spirit was given. So as we can see in scripture demons are real and inhabit the bodies of various individuals. But the thing is, in all the letters Paul writes to the churches, also to Timothy etc he doesn't ever mention casting Demons out of people, and there are no instructions on the "deliverance ministry" and how to cast out demons from people. But you see so many people these days with extensive knowledge of all kinds of Demons and how to appropriately/effectively cast them out. I just don't know what to think. Because demons are of course real and exist, but as I said Paul never touched on the ministry of demonic deliverance (unless I blindly missed it), and Paul brought an Incredible amount of detailed instructions for the body of Christ and how we should function and live our lives. If deliverance was so real and important then why would the new testament teachings not really mention it at all?.. I want to believe and live confidently knowing that I am obeying the Lord in truth. I have to be honest, all the conflicts of opinions in believers gets me so discouraged and confused, and I find it harming my faith. I will partner with the truth. But I just want to know what that truth is, especially with this subject. 🙏 Anyone please respond. I want to hear everyone's knowledgeable opionion

I have been a believer in Christ for over two years now, and I attend a group that believes that a spirit filled believer can have a demon. At first I did not have a lot of knowledge about it, but the more I mature and increase in biblical understanding I find it more and more hard to believe. Because as you pointed out in the bible the Holy spirit indwells a saved individual, and the temple of God (which our body becomes) surely would not house an unclean spirit as well as the Holy spirit himself? Light and darkness do not mix. The bible says that. I understand that our flesh is corrupted and our hearts are desperately wicked, and out of the heart of man proceed lots of bad things as Jesus mentions. Things which people would probably believe a demon would cause. But it just seems less and less realistic to me that a saved, spirit filled believer could have demons inside him. Because when we give our lives to the lord we become his own. We were bought at the price of Jesus blood, and the spirit of God has sealed us. Then comes the convictions from the spirit of God to tell us to deny ourselves. And then we overcome our inner evil/sinful habits as we become gradually transformed into the likeness and nature of Christ. When we were of the world and alienated from the life of God we were essentially children of the devil, therefore in reality we used to be his. So therefore the kingdom of darkness would have a right to live within the person through demonic possession. But when we choose to become children of God through faith in Jesus then we become citizens of his kingdom. The kingdom of light. And what fellowship/communion have light and darkness?... God bless

This topic is very controversial. I always thought Christians could have some demons....I am trying to study this subject because I am born again, bible believing and have been baptised ect ect, I have done self deliverance's on myself and felt something leave, so just because it is not mentioned in the bible I dont know if it doesn't mean it can't be true!!! What if a christian comes out of the new age and has a demon of python spirit ?....By the way the bible does mention the python spirit and many other spirits.....So this is still a topic I need disernment for....Also I struggled with anger and did some self-deliverance on casting out demons of rage and felt better after.......Again I think this is not something we will know till we meet God, those will argue what does light have with darkness ect, however, if we spend time in the Word and live our lives for God to fear and obey Jesus, then demons will not want to be in our presence, resist the devil and he will flee! Can't be beelzebub as our LORD has already stated satan cannot cast out satan (Matthew 12:26). Can't be of its own volution, as why would it need 7 more evil (powerful) spirits in order to re-enter in the event it does not find someone else to inhabit (or go through dry places)? If the unclean spirit is cast out in the name of our LORD Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, how then is the unclean spirit able to return with re-enforcements later? Are you suggesting that having a spirit cast out in the name of our LORD or by His Spirit, means the "unbeliever" could potentially still remain in an unsaved state even though he/she has just been delivered out of the hands of satan?

Demons cannot enter the temple. When you have Christ in you ie you have accepted Christ into your life and are saved demons cannot enter as your body a temple unto the Lord. They are frightened of Jesus Christ and therefore cannot enter you. However Satan can still tempt us but the Holy Spirit guides us away from temptation. Pray for guidance. That’s a false conflation. We can have sickness in this fallen world. This isn’t a demonic spirit. The two are completely different. And the Bible demonstrates the fact that believers can be sick, but cannot “have a demon” (and therefore need deliverance). Wasn’t given a demon. There’s no verse whatsoever the teachers at a demon can reside in a born again believer’s “flesh.” This is purely man-made. I have demonstrated this definitively in this video. Yes, sadly you’re handcuffed to your false RCC theology. Baptismal regeneration is a false doctrine. The person who is truly saved will obey God, and be baptised. But baptism itself is not salvific. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone! Acts 2:38 mentions baptism “for” forgiveness of sins. People think that this means that a person is saved by being baptised. This is not what it means. Think about this... If you take a headache tablet ”for” a headache, does it mean that the tablet gives you a headache? Of course not. It’s the same here. A person is baptised because they have been forgiven, not to give them forgiveness. Also, when John the Baptist talks about baptism for repentance, he is not saying that baptism gives us repentance. He is saying that we get baptised because we have repented.
