I got an 83 about 4 years ago. I swear I beat the thing into the ground everyday for the first couple years and I still can’t believe it but I can still go outside to this day and the thing still starts within 2 pulls no matter how warm or cold it is outside.

@Frog Snacks I keep hearing alot of people have had the 250 version of the moto 4. I’ve never drove one of those, but I’m sure there similar. These old Yamaha’s are hard to kill!

@@rockspowersports It's very similar, I'm pretty sure the 250's engine is only actually a 230, it might be on a slightly larger frame and the plastics are more like other newer utility atvs, the 200 is kind of banshee looking and the 250 looks more like a big bear or a wolverine style. she's a runner though, fully stock it tops out at 80kmh, so 50mph. it's mostly tire so it floats me through just about anything. Starts up good on even the coldest winter day. I just got a set of chains for this winter but I've always used it fine without them.

@Frog Snacks Yeah it’s probably the same motor as the Timberwolf 250. Yes looking at them they do look a little more utility looking like you said.

Just for your info, when you were adjusting the brakes they are actually an old form of disk brake. I had a moto 4 225 from 86 that was very similar until the motor dropped a valve. The cables twist a cam that moves in towards the disk, very effective for a mechanical rear brake compared to a drum Great job on the video and I hope this machine lasts for you

Absolutely. I just rescued a 98 foreman 400fw. Machine with winch & plow for almost nothing. With new tires, plug, coil & fresh gas it's about $500. Runs like a champ

I don’t usually bring anything with me. There is black bears around here but they tend to leave you alone. Unless you mess with there cubs, then you better run.

@Anthony Brown I wished I could tell you how much but there’s so many different outcomes and I really have no idea how many hours it will take them to find the issue. Usually they’ll hook it up to the B.U.D.S diagnostic system to see if they can pin point the issue, I have this same tool and usually charge a flat 1 hour fee to hook it up. I’m not sure where your from but I have a small shop here in Northeast Vermont and I’m almost half price of what the dealership charge per hour.
