I had one just like it ,it was blue and it was in about the same shape. I brought it home and got it running in about 30 minutes but it smoked like hell and I finally got rid of it about 3 years later, but I sure rode it a lot before I did get rid of it. it will pull hell off the hinges and go about anywhere. Best I remember it had a high and low range on it. I should have kept it and just put some rings in it. But you know how hindsight works.... I think I paid about $100 for it.... It was well spent I definitely got my money's worth out of it.

I’ve made it to video 4 so thought I’d jump back to video 1 to leave a comment. First of all i think it’s awesome your son is involved in this learning as y’all go. I bought an 86 Moto 4 last week for $400 and luckily it had been kept in a building so she looks clean and lean. Im going to get into it this weekend. Thankfully no one had made and crazy mods on it so all wiring is all intact and nice, no snorkel jazz going on. She’s ready ... I hope. Just got the new battery for her with a set of post nuts and bolts. Got the oil and filter ready to go. Going to tackle the initial breakdown this weekend .. ha wish me luck! It does need tires but thats later. Appreciate the video series man .. this is exactly what I need to run through the maintenance on mine.

@SunnySlopeHomestead3 жыл бұрын
Craigslist and Facebook marketplace is a good start. A lot of folks can’t fix them or don’t have time so they sell them or ever give them away. Tips , I would start out with something that’s 90’s or newer until you know where to find parts. Older stuff is though to find and stay away from China stuff ATV’s they are appealing but are nothing but a money pit. I’d suggest not using China carbs to and rebuild old if you can. I’ve used them in the past and they never hold adjustment and are always an issues. Hope this helps 👍👍👍👍
