yep and its almost always the ones on their fancy road bikes, tight lycra and helmet. its rare its a cyclist like me in my jeans or skirt, no helmet and a mountain bike. hell no am i charging through a red light or going full speed onto the path just to save a few seconds besides i push my bike up most of the hills i face or ride of the path because im going walking speed uphill anyway other times i try to stick to the road or cycle lanes. there are dumb drivers though, i've been going the same speed as a cop infront of me down a hill and been overtaken and almost hit off when theres oncoming traffic, overtaken on a blind bend while theres a parked car and had a dumb woman pull out infront of me as im going 25mph down a hill and she just stared at me an smirked as she did it. can guarantee none of them would have done it if i was on my motorbike

I was driving my pickup on a twisty turny mountain road in San Diego County one time, and came around a blind corner and there were bicycle riders riding 3 abreast. I slammed on the brakes, and followed them for a ways before I could pass them. I arrived where I was going and was having a little picnic when who should show up but those 3 bicycle riders. I walked over to them and said, "riding 3 abreast on these roads is not the wisest move." They piped up right away and arrogantly said, "we have just as much right to the road as you do!" I calmly replied, "Yes you do. However, if I have to make a choice between hitting another car head on, or hitting a guy on a bicycle, just make a guess which one it will be!" They had no further comments.
