This video is full of god tier tips and hidden gems. Additionally what you said at 0:39: "as long as you know that something is possible - you are already halfway there" is so true and also such a great quote.

Thank you! :)) But yeah that's one thing I learned from browsing KZbin blender tutorials for as long as I can remember. Blender has infinite tools, it's impossible to know how to do everything but at least possible know something is possible 😂 maybe that sounds less impressive than how I said it in the video

Tip 76: Add specific object index to all glass materials. In override material use nodes: Object Info + Math/Compare to get factor for Mix Shader.
@imeshh7 күн бұрын
Woah! And that will allow everything except glass to be clay render?
@fldbots7 күн бұрын
@@imeshh Yes, but if your glass combined in object with non-glass parts you need to go deep via Geometry Nodes to Face Cornel Attribute for example. And assign Integer Attribute to this Face Cornel Domain and use it instead of Object Index.
@imeshh7 күн бұрын
@fldbots that's works! I think that is similar to how vray worked and I had to seperate the glass from the object. Using geonodes is a nifty trick! Okay I need to look deeper into this and do a dedicated video I think!
@MrWoundedalien7 күн бұрын
@@imeshh yes yes yes please do this video cause I'd love to be able to do that instead of just deleting the glass from my clay renders lol.
@jessegould17 күн бұрын
Yep, I wish they just had an exclusion tick box in the material for this! Or a text filter- ie. exclude all materials with name that contains “glass”

Tip 97: It is incredible trick for interior visualization! It is common fact that better to use less Mix Shader nodes in materials as possible. I would recommend add setup on Base Color level: Light Path/Ray Depth + Math/Greater Than as mix factor for Mix Color Node.

tip 65: I would recommend use this setup: Non-Color to ACEScg >> ACEScg to RGBs. And between nodes play with Lift/Gamma/Gain and after apply S-Curve.
@imeshh7 күн бұрын
@@fldbots id love to get into ACES. I know a lot of other places use it as industry standard and I started using it. Then suddenly agx came out and it blew me away. I'll definitel look into this more though
