i starting doing the iv injection thing sunday and on monday, today at basketball practice i felt i had more power and i was able to get higher. my coach already knows i can jump pretty high and he even said you look like you can jump higher

if you hold 3 sec, you'll get prolonged amortization phase which decrease your plyometric ability. the key was to make it simple. you are not lifting weights so you don't need to force your max effort. you just need a solid counter movement.

You can do all 7 parts in one day, two times per week. Keep working hard!

@Ngro3o You can do all 5 parts in one leg workout and it will not be too much volume for you. If you feel fatigued then just break them up in 2-3 days per week.

You can do this on any surface, just make sure that you are landing soft on your feet to properly absorb the energy. Thanks for the comment!

@ryanskapa eccentric vs concentric contractions - at the bottom the muscle is firing but is still being stretched so thats what he was referring to as the eccentric phase

@madspeed7 plyometrics are usually done before weight training. @Kylehintz87 the technique will come by itself once you are strong enough, and your central nervous system are developed enough. you might be athletic, but if you have primaraly type 1 fibers (you dont get tired in your muscles fast), you must first "convert" your musclefibers to type two. this is done by heavy strenght training. but technique first.

@xxxKILZxxx Yes it will increase your vertical jump, and when you increase your vert you automatically make gains in your speed because your legs will be recruiting more fast twitch muscle fibers. You will notice the most gains in your acceleration.

@UmojaTWO This workout will help them tremendously...the only thing is, I am releasing one new part to the seven part series per week. So as of now you only have 2 of the workouts (glutes, hamstrings)...As the weeks go on it will be a full vertical jump workout.. I would suggest now that you only have 2 of the workouts to do this 3 times per week, and once I add mroe muscles/volume you can cut it down to 2 days.

@dthedancer I would start by just adding it to your leg days. By the end of the 7 part series it will be a full lower body explosive workout. Until then just add this to what you're doing.

wow, the technique demonstrated here could really get someone hurt. Knees are totally collapsed when jumping and landing. The two pistol squats that were done are each totally different. The one where the heel comes off the ground can really hurt your knees. The glutes would be turned totally off at that point. Holding that at the bottom for most people is a set up for problems, and pretty much only uses the quads.

Great stuff, the only part I have a problem with is never training tired... I mean as an athlete I'm going to get tired but I need to perform in the 4th quarter I need to be able to jump when I'm exhausted so why the hell wouldn't I train in a way that will prepare me for that? I don't have time to rest my legs in between plays on the court or on the field!

@whiteboyairlines Yes, but you have to be careful that your muscles don't get tired. Then you will not make the gains you are looking for.

strength training, plyo and jumping a lot. i have jumped my highest ever from doing very little strength training, no plyo and not much jumping, on my channel i touch the rim for the first time. also i'm 5'7 90kg (considered obese, 30+% body fat).

Hey there, You can certainly grow 2-4 inches in vertical leap in just 2 weeks by simply following the appropriate training system & have a great eating plan. My buddy gained 9 inches in just 3 months and today he can 360 dunk with 2 hands.

Jack...I'm going to start this program with my players this week. How long should I run this program for my players???? 3 weeks or 6 weeks!!!! And how many days a week should my players do this program???? Everyday or every other day????? Thanks!!! All of these work outs, even the other ones in the other videos, is it best to do them all in one day? Or like do the exercises in vid 1 the first day, vid 2 the second day, etc. For the entire week? I guess my basic question is how often should I do them to get the best results?

shouldn't you do the plyo parts (split jumps and squat jumps) before the pistol squats... wouldnt you be tired and not be able to max those out?

@magicardz1 i just run on my school's track with a parachute. i also bike. i think walking a mile to school everyday helps to :P. i run on the track whenever i can. i play basketball and football to. so basically i walk and run alot

the exercise to come up off the ground is difficult. Do you just keep doing it til you can make it on your feet? Are there muscles that need to be worked out more in order to successively do it?

hey ive just discovered plyrometrics but ive been to the gym and ive done a lot of leg exercises before. im 6'1 157lbs and 15 years old my vertical right now is 29 inches. my quads and all the parts of my calves are strong but my glutes and hamstrings are kinda weak. if i work on those muscles how much more could my vertical go up and how do you know when you reached your vertical peak. thank you

Do these workouts, you WILL gain a lot, especially if you have never done these kind of plyometrics workouts before. Make sure you eat healthy as well, complex carbs and lean meats.

On the pistol squats, I can't get all the way down with my feet (or foot) flat on the floor without falling backwards, I guess I might be too bulky up top, is this common? Any way I can fix this? Great vids BTW, thx

im 6"2 16 year old that weighs 175. I havent been training my legs much but when i do.... i go all out. I have been told by so many other brands or people like jump manual that guarantee increase in vertical. Tell me the truth... if i do this, im already able to grab rim, but will i be able to dunk?

hey im 16 and almost 6 foot but i dont have a very high vertical. i can dunk 9 feet barely but i want to be able to dunk by basketball season so i have roughly 6-8 months. do you think in this time i can increase my vertical by 12 inches? also, i work out 3 days a week but if i start plyometrics, should i completely cut out leg workouts? (squats, leg press) stuff like that and only focus on plyometrics a few times a week?
