Jack Cascio brings you a new vertical jump series called the vertical jump prescription. Twice The Speed calls it this because in order to increase your vertical jump you need to be doing the proper number of sets and reps. Too many times athletes will overtrain or undertrain when looking to jump higher. Be sure to subscribe to the channel.

Yes, you can still do these workouts in season. Make sure that you are getting 8-10 hours of sleep per night and eating properly. Mix in some peanut butter and honey snacks two times per day. Thanks for the comment!

it depends on what you mean by "hard training", rest and recovery is just as if not more important than doing the exercises. Make sure you get getting 8-10 hours of sleep per night and eating properly

The knee tucking is not necessary but I agree with most of what you say. Deep powerlifting squats plus this plyometric training combined does wonders for your leap.
@TwiceTheSpeedTV

Some things can be done on a day to day basis but certain exercises like plyometrics you have to have some rest or you will run into over training.

I'm no Jack but he has speed workouts too. Do a little bit of his speed workouts and a little bit of these vertical jump workouts and it will make you faster. Doing these vertical workouts helps strengthen your legs AND your legs get used to being stretched and off the ground so it should make you qicker in retrospect.

My vert is 37 inches with a jumping touch of 11 feet (132 inches). I agree with bloody massacre, I'm a 16 year old volleyball player and I want to get that extra edge over the other kids in my province. The players on my team use your IV injection warm up before games and we're big fans of your work. Thanks from Canada.

Is the first exercise hard on the knees? It appears your knees are well over your toes. I didn't think you wanted to apply a lot of force when in that position. I ask because I've been battling jumper's knee on and off and need all the knee health I can get. I'm not trying to discredit your knowledge. I love your videos.
