My high school French teacher was imprisoned at Auschwitz for six months. When she wore short sleeves, her number tattoo was very visible. She told us very little, except her nose was broken by a Guard who hit her in the face with his rifle when she stopped during the march to the camp to help an elderly person who'd fallen. She was blessed to be chosen as an exchange prisoner, and stated had she not been so fortunate, she'd have died.

@@knowledgeispower3212 how is it not believable? I live in a small town and I saw a write up in my local news recently that there is a survivor from Auschwitz that lives in my town. A lot of people died but also many survived and some are alive now in their 90's and even some over 100.

It goes back years before but what the main idea was that the jewish people where thought to be taking up jobs and taking all the money from the germans. Hitler had a strong hate towards the jewish and when he became leader he "upgraded" the german SA (army) to the SS. This army would lead marches for future nazis (young boys) all the way to enforcing jews to wear the star of david all the way to k.lling jews. It goes back years before but thats the pre-ww2 times. Hitler guided the SS into going and making the camps leadong to the holocaust

I found out about the holocaust entirely by accident. I'm too curious and I wanted to study WWII because of my great grandfather being a survivor of pearl harbor. I was seven and saw the first images of auschwitz when I opened a history book about Europe's role in the war. The faces of the emaciated prisoners staring back at me scared me.

My classmates had no idea of how serious the holocaust truly was. They only knew it has "hitler hated Jews and wanted to get rid of them" not the atrocities that the nazis did and how Argentina opened their borders to the one fleeing prosecution.

12/12/20, 1:29 PM My Dad Fred White worked for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) as a bus driver in about the 1940's to about April 1972 and lived in Hempstead, Long Island and his first wife died in about 1967 which is sad 🙁 My Dad Fred White was a World War 2 Veteran in the NAVY and was a cook aboard ship near Pearl Harbor 😕 My Dad Fred White was about 65 years old when he had my younger brother David White with my mother 😕 My Dad Fred White died at 94 years old in August 2012 😕 My Dad Fred White drove his own car until he was 94 😕 I am very lucky to have had a World War 2 Veteran as my Dad in 1974 to 2012

Unfortunately, we were given the Anne Frank Diary in grade school to read as a assignment without explaining to us what happened. Just handed the book and told to read in about 5th grade. In the USA. Why oh why wasn't we taught? Just history class of what? I don't know. This is important to me as a believer in God/Jesus and kindness towards others. My local little meat/candy store as a kid had a survivor of that horrible man called Hitler , they tried to rebuild the loss of their family and lives by running their store. We never knew what happened, only that they had numbers tattooed on their arms. As a young girl, going to a Presbyterian church, you would think they would tell us, nope. People used to tease those owners of that store, not go there, me , I was confused. I am angry and now in 2023 what do you think they have developed to control ALL of us now with. How easy that they shut down the stores, work places, bank cards in Canada, we needed masks/ID cards to fly and leave the country n reenter the country stating that we had a experiment up our arse /arm. Does anyone else think this was a precursor of the MARK? I sure do. Making our Jewish people wear a special mark/patch on clothes, can't enter places???? Can't go on plane without the Jab? All these bad a##'s in this world, killing innocent pp all the while their darkest enemies' are controlling all of us??? where did our faith go in this country? Our kids now are all on legal drugs for either ADD, Add, depression, etc or street drugs that kill as well.
