Argh! No, the 1500-1700s were characterised by 'bodies' and later 'jumps', not the corset (different shapes and construction), and the hourglass shape wasn't fashionable until the Victorian era! Earlier styles created flattened, conical, or even nearly shapeless silhouettes. And what the Kardashians use isn't a corset!

+Briana Gordon I've been fascinated by historical fashions and a corset wearer myself for a long time, so many misconceptions. I still have to tell people that Marie Antoinette and rococo styles were not 'Victorian', and even had to explain that the Elizabethan period was nowhere near to the 1800s!

I still wear bullet bras and let me tell you they are the MOST COMFORTABLE BRAS. They are amazingly supportive. I'm not lying when I say that every other bra I've had has always had some jiggle to it due to me being big breasted. Before I switched, unless I wanted to basically wear a binder, I just kind of resigned myself to most bras being awful and not supportive or uncomfortable, but sweet baby jesus I bought my first bullet and never looked back. It's just fabric so they don't pinch and since they have to be made out of fabric with special sewing structure they hold you for days. So easy to take care of too. Please buy one of these on line ladies, there are places that still make and sell them and they are TOTALLY WORTH IT.
