Oh and plaid is any fabric pattern with intersecting lines forming a # shape, check is squares and also the same as gingham, and houndstooth is the pattern on the sweater the model for the Brattitude Headband was wearing. The Mrs Nancy blazer & those beige pants were both plaid :)

In regard to the colors, I think you're seeing the hues of colors that are mixed to do a certain shade. xD A lot of blacks have dark blue on them and a lot of brown almost a forest green on them .Warm browns have red on them and depending on the light I think our eyes pick more one color or the other. ^.^

About the color thing, I agree with Dan. The color temperature of your screen sounds like it's too cool. Doesn't really have anything to do with the resolution. You can adjust color temperature in display settings. Making the screen warmer is better for your eyes too, as it emits less blue light.

Fun thing, black is rarely just "black" when it comes to dye! When it comes to dyes, what our eyes are perceiving is light bouncing off an object; black is the result of the visible light spectrum being "soaked up" by that object (which is why black gets hotter in the sun than white.) So black is usually a mix of colors, designed to pick up as much of that spectrum as possible: and it's not always evenly mixed. Sometimes there's more blue in it, or more red, resulting in warmer or cooler tones. And some of this nuance can get lost with color correction, either through photoshop or the camera trying to adjust for colored light (like, a lot of lights have a lot of yellow to them).

I'm of average height at 5'5 but have long legs for my height and honestly longer pants are something I need too. Once my tall friend gave me one of her old jeans and I was shocked than finally something actually reached my ankles properly and wasn't some high water 7/8 jeans. @@flagerdevil A quick google search led me to that time frame but I'm sure it would depend on many factors like how well the bird is trained already but bottom line, parrots are very intelligent and can be potty trained at any age although in doing so, would also include training the owner to notice cues of when your parrot might need to use the bathroom and seeing how caring Alex is toward Archie i'm sure she wouldn't have trouble doing that :) But obviously if she doesn't want to do that its up to her lol just thought it might be interesting XD

funfact: compostable plastic is still just plastic. "Compostable" in almost every case means "compaostable only in professional compost faculty", however that often still takes half a year to break down which is why barely any compost faculty accepts compostable plastics and ends up throwing them away into the trash nonthless. these bags can be neither recycled, nor are they really compostable. therefore, printing i on there is tech just greenwashing sadly

As someone who has a dark academia aesthetic, I personally sway more towards light academia or dark cottage core in the summer to stay cool in the lighter colors but still keep in the same aesthetic vein. Then in the fall and winter go back Edit: linen is also a super popular way to stay cool but aesthetic as well linen shorts are a godsend in the summer

Hello! I am a dark academia lover who lives in the American south (so… very warm). The trick is to realize that you don’t necessarily have to show more skin to stay cool. 1. Use breathable fabric like linen and cotton when possible (avoid wool, of course. Go with synthetic fabrics to replace stuff that would usually be wool) 2. Think long, light, and loose. You *can* wear long sleeve collared shirts in the summer! Just make sure they aren’t clinging to your skin and avoid dark colors and you should stay very cool. 3. There’s a couple clothing item swaps I’d recommend- for example I’d avoid sweater vests and get a cute pair of trouser style shorts (i have a cotton pair that goes to my knees, they’re comfy and dark academia!)

I lover how your channel has become both size and style inclusive. I love that you have your friends come on to show different body types, and that you branch out into other styles as well. I originally subscribed both for your personality and Archie, but now your content also includes lots of things I would wear myself. Maybe you could also start to include the details on the fabrics? The older I get the more my skin reacts to polyester, which had made me replenish my wardrobe with more natural fiber. Also, I love that lipstick. You're definitely seeing the colors right imo, that sweater is like khaki, and the skirt a dark dark blue. Maybe you see more colors than others? There are people with tetrachromia, as in have four cones in the eyes, and they see 100 million colors instead of the usual 1 million. If you have family that have daltonism, that don't see green or red, you have a much higher chance of having an extra cone. My dad and nephew have it, and I suspect I see more variations in color, as in I often disagree on the names of colors. You can get it tested, I'm thinking maybe I should.

Thank you for this! So fascinating! I've always wondered if I see colors differently... I drive my boyfriend nuts when trying to describe something he's looking for and I give him a color as part of the description. We never seem to agree. Lol I just figured that he was just not being specific. 🤓 Also, I have a couple family members with the red/green "color blindness". I've heard a few funny stories about my uncle learning to drive and having a hell of a time with the traffic lights. Anyway! Thank you! You're stinking cool! P.S. - Your name is pretty badass too. 😉

@@MrsJolene- lol! I'm Dutch too! My dad's side of the family is not and so I heard a lot of, "Ya ain't much if you're Dutch" and how backwards I was for being Dutch (although my uncle's both married Dutch women... 🤔). I am proud to be Dutch! My mom's side of the family has accomplished some amazing things! We're even in a local museum.. ohhhh! Lol Be proud to be who you are! Dutch and all! I mean, if ya ain't Dutch, ya ain't much! So, rock it! You're amazing because you're you and it's okay to be proud of all of your heritage, even if we get shit** about it from family members, etc. :)

Cable knit sweater with the dark jeans and a collared shirt underneath, I'm thinking burgundy? Loafers too. And generally with a chunky sweater I just go with the 'French Tuck'. Just grab the front hem at center, jam into bottoms, done. Then you get a bit more waist definition than if it was untucked, but you don't need to deal with all of that sweater.

I don’t want to be mean or anything but I’ve seen a few of your videos and doing massive hauls like this is very harmful and buying this much stuff (especially of low quality) leads to overconsumption and speeding up the trend cycle which causes people to buy more to try and keep up with current trends. Obviously I’m not your mother but please rethink buying huge amounts of clothing that you will inevitably throw out in a couple months bc it’s not trendy anymore.

I would say summer Dark Academia is a loose linen or satin button up shirt with a plaid cotton high waisted shorts with brown leather suspenders, some sort of dress shoe style shoe (brogues, oxfords, loafers) or a plaid skirt, or bigger skirt maybe? Also some kind of white peasant style blouse could work
