Great video! I have gotten into journalling very recently, so I am still figuring out my workflow. What I have noticed is that I am able to express my feelings better when writing with a pen and paper but I don't want to do that as I think it will become very tedious to look for my previous entries and make connections bw my thoughts/ Journals effectively, plus I think a lot about how I can In the future take all my journal entries and feed it to a LLM and let it draw connections and suggestions for me. What do you think about this is this reason to good enough to sacrifice on the benefits that you have mentioned in the video of pen and paper?

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for commenting dawg! I think whether you want to stick to pen and paper, stick to typewriting (which is still great), or develop a hybrid journaling system really depends on what your intentions are and what you seek to reap out of journaling. If you want to feed it to an LLM to transform it into a kind of "prompt-interactive second brain", I might recommend a hybrid or just full-on digital format if you really want to optimize (totally alright too). I personally have a hybrid system now and have adapted into it not too long ago, but that depends on you, your needs and whatnot. I primarily use my hybrid system to differentiate between an academic-orientated piece of information or a more emotional/personal writing, and occasionally, I will use journaling for world-building, book writing, and applying knowledge in quirky ways. Reiterating, it depends on what your intentions are and what you want to reap out of it. Based on that, you might or might not want to optimize. I've never heard of the concept of journaling to build an LLM and its certainly interesting (might try it myself... lol), but whatever you do, let me know 'cause I'd like to know more about it! I hope I was able to help. 🙂

Hiya! Sorry the message wasn't right for you; what I meant to say (and I likely worded it incorrectly) is that if you feel negative emotions as a default it is likely because there's something we need to change. Not necessarily that it is our fault, however in my experience I found it to be that way. We must be able to control a certain extent of our circumstances, especially those that reap negative results. I'm open to philosophize with you, I just thought I'd clarify my point a bit further. Thanks for commenting anyway.
