+Chris Dean Dear, You do not need to delete all the apps, just the recent ones after which this problem had begun. This happens mostly because of the fancy apps which have floating screen widgets. Whatsapp is a safe app, no need to delete it.

+Schenk Cyriel May be you should try after doing a soft reset of your phone. This won’t hurt your phone data. to soft reset check this video here :- kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6DMZXtte7d6js0 If it still doesn’t work, then try it after resetting your phone settings. & finally if even that does not solve your issue factory reset would be your workable solution. Make sure to backup your phone contacts and important data before factory reset as it will wipe all your phone data. As a general precaution only install apps that you trust & have good reviews to avoid such issues.
