Good on you guys for helping your in-laws here in Australia we don’t give an allowance but we definitely send $100-$200 from time to time whenever something comes up , the bible has a quote that says honour your parents and you will live a long life 😊

They don't really have any government programs for elderly or retirement...the kids all help the parents. I like that family culture here

Thanks for sharing. One item many fail to include when they own their house is to list the fairmarket value of housing cost. Even if it was built prior to your arrival, the cost was front-loaded, so why exclude it? You also own a vehicle. You may want to include that also versus only gas and oil changes. Otherwise, good job.

There are quite a few medical coverage options here and I'm no expert or even knowledgeable lol. AXA, Blue Cross Blue Shield...there is an expat here that has a business solely doing medical insurance and I believe most clients are expats. Try searching Michael Onstad 👍

Have you thought about putting money away for your wife’s Social Security when I get to the Philippines that’s something I’m gonna have to look at I don’t think it’s that much a month. It might be 1000 pesos or 2000 pesos. I’m not sure I’m gonna sit down with Social Security in the Philippines when I get there with my fiancé and see in see what that’s about.

It's a great idea...we have thought about it and can't hurt to ask questions. Joy's father put into SS as a farmer and recently did the process to get his SS. He was happy but I was shocked...he got a single lump payment of 50K pesos. You can't live on that for long at all. Of course I don't know all the details of pay-in, etc. It is something to check to protect Joy and Gabby. Thanks for comment and good idea

Even if you rounded everything to $2000 Dollars you're still ahead compared to living here in USA since you don't have to pay rent.

You are doing good, sorry I want to enjoy life not to just survive there. I visit yearly for more than 2 to 3 months a year. I am on VACATION mode, spending over $P24,000 per day. Even in the province with the wife's family it was $P30,000 per day with all the parties. Being in our golden years it time to enjoy the finer things in life, nice luxury hotels and resorts on the beach. Keep up with the grat videos.

Hey if you can afford the luxury in retirement then I say...you deserve it!!!! I'm not on your income level lol...although we do save some every month too. Thanks for comment
