Ive got some lovely Spalted horse chestnut and willow slabs ready to go and I am in the process of finishing up a huge maple river table so I’m looking forward to getting that done . Amazing! You have become a main inspiration for me. Question: I notice your c-channel has simple round holes and not slots for wood movement. Will this be a problem? Is wood movement not a viable concern for ancient olive wood?
@marmotaworksАй бұрын
Thanks!! The round holes are slightly larger than the screw diameter, allowing for some movement. In any case, I don't think this wood will move too much.
@jeffreyjbyronАй бұрын

I can’t believe that nobody is commenting on what an eyesore that black epoxy edge patch is. The olive wood is so beautiful but when you look across the table top what do you see? A black splotch. It doesn’t move along the grain to draw your eye across the piece and it isn’t a complementary or even a suitable accent color. It’s all you see- a black splotch. Absolutely unacceptable. Such beautiful wood and you don’t even notice it, not at least until you’re done trying to Ma kg r sense of the black epoxy. I’m sorry brother, but somebody has to speak the truth
