Absolutely fantastic results. It is an absolutely pleasure to watch and hear your knowledge and how you consider different choices. That is something that hits me a lot of times in your videos. There are very few things that are left unattended. Not just the car itself but the dialog with customers and when to not chase after the last scratch. You are a true craftsman and it shows in so many ways. On top of that the filming and the editing. I love this. All of it.

Again Harry Potter has waved his magic wand and performed a miracle. Just WOW!!!! I love your honest comments and that you show the reality of all this paint correction. That spoiler nearly spoiled your sanity I imagine. Certainly, after spending so much time on my Astra the hardest thing is been able to let go or know when you are really wasting your time trying for that extra piece of perfection when you could be spending it on something else. Also not having the amount of quality equipment due to budget, you really have to adapt to get the most with what you have. Again that Rupees Yellow Wool pad shone. And that S20 black did not work was a real surprise. Japanese seems to love soft clears which I don't understand. Why is this? And also knowing that in some cases you should just re paint the section must be frustrating which would be much easier plus give a much better result when polished. But you as you said have to work in a boundary set by the customer. Sandro I hope he was impressed and satisfied mate. Because I am BLOWN AWAY yet again.

Hi There Professor ! Another Brilliant MASTER CLASS ! Despite Meticulously Explained, A Question Remains For Me. I’m Referring To The Moment, Just After a Set of Polisher Passes, When The Compound Is Been Removed. Is It Like We See ? I Mean : Is It An Edited Footage or The Removal of Compound Is Performed Exactly After The Set of Passes ? And I Tell You Why I’m Asking Such a “Detail of Detailing” Question : Because I’ve Seen Detailers Mentioning That Is Recommendable To Wait The Panel Get a Bit Cold (Due To The Temperature Gain During The Polishing Process) Before Removing The Compound and Before To Apply The IPA, In Order To Avoid To Inflict Micro Marrins To The Paint We’re Trying To Restore. Is That So Professor ? Or Does It Depend On Other Variables That, In This Particular Case, Can Be Done The Way You Did ? Sorry To Bother You With (Perhaps) Such a Dumb Question. Once Again, Many Thanks ! Best Regards ! Ed Weekend Warrior São Paulo
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
Yes the wipe off is immediate. Although paint is more sensitive while it’s warm the compound is also easier to wipe off while it’s warm, so if you let the compound cool right down it’s harder to wipe off and you have to use more aggression to remove it, rather than wiping it off while the product a little warmer and softer

I do the same as you. The softest way the better. I lost respect towards a bunch of detaillers on KZbin because they charge a ton of money and they use Turtle Wax as the final protection for the car of their clients. The issue is Turtle Wax is not a high end product and the client deserve a high end product.

Wondering if someone can give me a point in the direction of a polishing issue. I bought a Torq X DA polisher and some Chemical Guys polishes and pads. My mom's trunk lid somehow looked like someone did some lite sanding over the whole top. I offered to try to polish out all of the marking. I started with the CG Orange Hex Logic pad and their V36 polish. Initially this hazed up the paint even more. So, then I thought I was using a too aggressive polish and dropped down to the V38 polish. The results were the same. Then I thought the pad was the issue and switched to the Blue Hex Logic pad with the V38 polish. Same result. I next went back up to the V36 polish on the blue pad to the same results. So, then I started thinking that I was going the wrong direction and went back to the Orange pad and up to the V34 polish. Same result. I finally went back to the original combo and made about 5 sets of 3-4 passes to get the results I was expecting. I did not mark the base plate to confirm the Torq X was spinning properly, however, I did try several different levels of pressure. Having said that, do you think I was applying too much pressure? Or, is the CG brand of polishes and polishers junk? Or, do you think I was doing something else wrong?
