Just got back from 6 weeks work on my brother’s house in central Fl, thought I’d never get done! Back north working on my RV.

That damage wasn't that bad. I was hauling a huge redwood and had a 17.5 blow. Destroyed the floor above it, the storage compartment behind it and the black water drain. The car behind me got covered in black water, that was fun.

Be towing my own fifth wheels since 2001. Tires are always a problem from the factory. My 2005 Carriage with Goodyear Marathons, Load Range E, rated for 65 mph where also junk. Had one do that. But Goodyear will accept a claim for damages. You have to take the tire to a Goodyear Store that is not a franchise owned store. Fill out the claim, give them the tire. They will send the tire to Akron Ohio with the claim. If the tire was at fault they will ask for a couple repair quotes and process the claim and send you a check. Which was the case for me. They also replace the 3 other tires and I paid the difference for the G614 to be installed. No more problems. I now have a Carriage, Carriage Fifth Wheel that is a 2008 running G114’S 17.5 RIMS. Has MorRyde I S. Each wheel carries 4100 lbs with 4700 on the pin. Tow with a Class 6 truck as it overloads my Ram 3500 GVW of 14,000 lbs. 14,600 with fuel and trailer. Trailer has well over 100,000 miles on it. Will be at Gettysburg Farms Campground this summer in and out like last year. Have a permanent site there. Your only bout a 50 min ride, so run up to see ya. Currently at home at The Great Outdoors in Titusville, Fl.

I hate cheap tires on trailers, I always run LT truck tires in a highway tread on my trailers, (I know its not a guarantee) but they do hold up better.

LT 235/85-R16's for the win. All I ran on my campers and my tandem dual gooseneck. 👍

I ran LT tires on my triple axle. Loved them and I'll never go back to trailer tires.

Factory 10 ply tires on a camper are trash. You’d think they would have started using 14 ply by now on the big campers

If you look into that brand tires they are notorious for blowing out. They call them china bombs 😂😂😂😂

Cocoa and Cocoa Beach ARE in fact 2 different cities. Starting from US1 at SR520 it CAN get pretty sketchy as you go west so stay alert and keep your doors locked.

I live about 35 miles south of Cocoa and have lived in Brevard County since 1973 and have done local delivery work here so I know the county and most cities pretty well.

Out of curiosity Where do u find campers to haul? I’m thinking of some ideas as a side gig and if it works out then go full time. Was thinking about starting local single car hauling for now maybe campers. What’s the best load board for local. I’m located in Pa.
@CPSteveMiller14 күн бұрын
Local is damn near impossible with power only or single cars. It doesn't pay near enough. I use directs more than anything but Central Dispatch is a close second. If you're going with cars, 2 at a bare minimum but 3 is better. I almost went bankrupt trying to run a 2 car and decided to buy a 3 car trailer. Went from losing money to profiting at least 1500 a week after all expenses.

I know you can drive those big RV at 70-75mph but considering how cheap the tires are,is it safe to drive that fast? These tires are China bombs
@CPSteveMiller21 күн бұрын
I usually run 71-72. On this one, I don't think I went over 65 but this was 2 months ago so I don't even remember at this point.
@SylvainBernier-t5l21 күн бұрын
@CPSteveMiller You said it was a $97000 RV? They build them cheap like hell. The steps are broken, tires are China bombs,yiiikes🤔
