I first go into IT and cybersecurity back in 2022 after having my identity stolen a year before. I completed a certification program for PCI DSS back in 2023, and recently earned Comptia Security Plus. I have been on several interviews and even made it to the 3rd round in one of them. I am currently working on the Google Certificate also. Some of my goals for this year are to earn CYSA +, and land a cybersecurity role working for the government. I am able to go almost anywhere. Hopefully, I will find something soon. In the mean time, I will continue improving my skills and building my network. Even though cybersecurity professionals are in high demand, and there are a lot of available positions, it is still quite hard to get your foot in the door. I enjoyed the video.

Yes in this market, It can be challenging to find a job. What I have seen is that If you are not getting interviews the first place to start looking at fixing is your resume.

I had to resign from my physical education teaching job because the boss was out to get me. Now, I’m pressured to finding another job. I got in CompTia program but im In need of a job, any advice? I’ve been applying to a lot of different jobs. Being in tech was always a thought since I was in high school but I was in love with sports so I didn’t go into tech as much as I am now. I’m from Louisiana but I moved to Austin Tx, which is big in tech. I just need help right now and connections.

Is this a field that can be taken over by robots, A.I.?
@ElevateToTheUnknown8 сағат бұрын
Don't overthink it. When I see questions like this, I imagine someone wondering if this is a field that will stay the same forever or if they can learn it once and never have to adapt.

@ElevateToTheUnknown7 сағат бұрын
@@Risha-Rene ok awesome. A.I is already into the cyber space now doing monitoring of systems. Robots will not take over the field and some things will be automated but systems will continue to need people to manage it and oversee people and to take action on threats.

With the Hb1 visa video you did is it still worth going to school for tech? I started my journey to obtain my MIS degree 6 months ago but idk if it’s worth it anymore
@ElevateToTheUnknown3 күн бұрын
It’s absolutely worth it. H1B visas have always been part of the industry and will continue to be. That shouldn’t stop you from pursuing your degree or getting into tech. The point of the video is to encourage more people to go in this direction, rather than choosing degrees that may not offer the same opportunities. This helps Americans stay competitive. Keep pushing forward with your degree and join us in competing in the tech space. Go get your success, @missep. Happy New Year!

If you're looking for fully remote tech jobs that allow you to work from anywhere, consider roles like: Software Developer Web Developer Data Analyst UX/UI Designer Digital Marketing Specialist Tech Support Engineer A lot of these positions can be done remotely for international companies or as a freelancer. Look into platforms like Upwork, Toptal, or even direct hire roles from companies with distributed teams (like GitLab, Automattic, or Remote OK). You don’t need to hit six figures to land something that gives you freedom to live abroad. Focus on building skills that are in demand globally and check for 'remote-first' companies. Best of luck with your search - freedom is definitely possible in tech!
