This channel has caused me to buy the most games I've ever bought because I saw it online: rimworld + all dlcs, ONI space out (had the base game before), prison architect, noita, dave the diver, stacklands. I'm not usually effected by advertising, just FJ it seems! And I thoroughly enjoyed most of them!
@aliqandil7 ай бұрын
PS about noita: it's an awesome game, also funny as hell if u can see past the initial frustrations. it's just not story oriented or something u can be deadly efficient at since every run is vastly different. So It's very understandable why Francis dropped it. but I'm still very glad I got convinced to buy it, thanks FJ. :)
@melananighthawk7 ай бұрын
Agreed - for me it's at the point where 9 purchases out of 10 that I make these days will be due to watching FJ play the games and getting interested in them. I've got some real gems that way, and come to the conclusion that most games that FJ enjoys are ones I'll also enjoy. There's also been a few that I've watched FJ play and avoided buying as a result - most often due to the amount of nausea/motion sickness/migraines they caused when watching FJ play. I really appreciate those too, because it means I don't waste my money on a game that sounds really interesting but that I will be unable to play because it makes me sick.

I really like that backup "break in case of emergency" survival meals room. Honestly I think that is brilliant and should be the standard even in real life. Something like honey and strong alcohol will probably never go bad.

Over 4300 hours of gameplay later, I still wonder back to ONI once in a while. Kewl trip down memory lane.

About first rimworld base: 1. Infestations couldn't spawn in deep freezers (-17*C) under mountain in 1.2. That's why your food storage was under mountain roof. Dunno if can now. 2. That still issue in 1.5. Tables have effective range ~30 tiles. You need either use mods for fix or spam dozens of dining rooms around bigger bases. That's also why in 300+ pawns challenge you made corridors into dining rooms.
@bobsprock7 ай бұрын
The wiki still mentions the -17C criteria so I think it's still there.
@92thorstein7 ай бұрын
@@bobsprock last time i did mountain base was in 1.2. That why i secured myself in this statement. The table issue is still problem :(
@melananighthawk7 ай бұрын
@@92thorstein It is, though there is a mod that extends the table distance/allows you to configure the distance, and a few others that allow you to ban colonists from carrying a meal with them. I generally use the option to ban carrying meals, so that pawns have to go back to base to get a meal and when they do there will be a table nearby where the meals are so that stops most of their silliness.

@@Anopano3000 The original series (the base he highlighted here) was the reason I bought the game. He really got into the roleplay for it and connected with so many of the characters. He actually made mistakes and that made it even more exciting.
