This video is all about traditional style of tender mangoes pickle making. Tender mangoes pickle is best pickle ever. Points to remember while making this pickle:-
*We have to collect tender mangoes at correct time. Size and growth of tender mangoes neither too small and not too big.
* Mangoes should not be damaged while plucking.
* Reject all damaged and spoilt mangoes.
Don't use ordinary water. You must use strong saturated salt water.
*Maintain cleanliness to get longer shelf life for the pickle. Main thing is to avoid even a drop of ordinary water.
*Mix it once in 2-3 days after mangoes are added in salt. Let mangoes immerse in salt water. (Water released after added into salt)
* Spices used are mustard seeds: red chillies 2:1 ratio and turmeric powder.
* Store them airtight in a safe place.
Saturated salt water making:-
Add enough salt into water and boil it well.(low flame) It should be strong enough so as to salt should remain without dissolving at the bottom. Maximum strong salt water.

In Tamil it is called Maavadu a beautiful dish used to eat with morning breakfast with curd rice (left out previous day halaya Anna) in our school days 50 yrs ago it was our daily morning food. Dear Bhats i like your dakshina Kannada accent. I worked in p&t dept 40 yrs ago in Mangalore for 1 year. I like your way of life synchronised with nature. Deavaru nimma ellarigu asirvadha maduthare. ಬಹುಶಃ ಈವರೆಗಿನ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವೀಡಿಯೊಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೂ ಒಂದು. ಹಾಗೇನೇ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಸಂಗೀತ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇಂತಹ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಸಂಗೀತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮುದ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೆ. ನಾವೂ ಐದು ಕೆಜಿ ಯಷ್ಟು ಉಪ್ಪಿನ ಕಾಯಿ ಹಾಕ್ತೇವೆ .. ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು ಭಟ್ ಜೀ & ಟೀಂಗೆ.

@@ritushukla9284 Usually, mango pickle in these parts is prepared from special wild mangoes. Some of them, like Appe midi variety, are especially used for pickles or only for certain dishes such as appehuli, tambuli etc. These are not ideal to be eaten as fruits but suit very well for these raw preparations.

I like all the recipes you share. I am fan of this channel. I liked this video as well. A request to you, please don't use plastic containers. They are so harmful to health. They are convenient, but very damaging for health. Especially for thing like pickles. 🙏 🙏 Better to avoid plastic from your life.

Your videos are good. Keep up spreading traditional methods of food preparations through your channel. May I request you not to use your bare hands for the preparations? Also do not store pickles even in food grade plastics. Use glass, ceramic, stainless steel or similar containers for storing pickles, foods for hygiene and health. All the best 👍

I love this. I still remember the days when I would make appe midi uppinakaayi when we stayed in Kundapur. I can never forget the taste. By seeing this video I want to make it again :) ... only I have to search for good midi in Bangalore...

Hi Sudharshan. In Kerala especially Central Kerala we call it kadumanga curry or kannimanga curry if I am not mistaken. The word achar is something new that is being attached to it. Please correct me if I am wrong🙏🏽
